Thinning on sides of head
What does it mean? Both sides of my head right above my ears have thinning spots, they get thinner every year. Is it caused by the same thing as the top of the head balding? The back of my head is also thinning, but I still have thick spots where hair has never shed or gotten thinner, such as the upper sides and spots on the back, so I don't think that would classify me as a diffuse thinner. Could this mean something, or is it just regular MPB that happened to affect other areas of my head because of my genes?

Not just from MPB. Thyroid, alopecia areata, etc. are possible culprits. Time for a dermatologist visit.

Sorry to say this, but if there is a receded hairline and other typical AGA symptoms accompanying this, then it is most likely a sign that you'll end up a high Norwood level. The sides of my head are very thin, the only part that isn't is above the nape of my neck. When I look at my maternal grandfather's Norwood, it's exactly the same pattern.
Take a look at any advanced AGA sufferer, you'll see that there is little or no hair there.

What is AGA? I'm already at a high norwood level. I've taken a thyroid test before and did the thermometer under armpit test, it was normal. Adrenals maybe? I started noticing thinning on one side of my head when I was 18, I started propecia and it thickened up initially but then continued to thin out over the years, so I guess it could just be from DHT?
