Is this for real, or is it just hype?

Never heard of it before but it sounds like good stuff. Better than omega 3. Kinda expensive tho.

I personally don't like subscriptions where they automatically bill you even tho they say you can cancel at anytime. Seems like they're trying to get their hooks in you. And who knows if they really let you cancel all that easily without a lot of hassle.

Re: pentadecanoic acid
If you eat mostly meat, you're covered. No supplement necessary.

Re: pentadecanoic acid
I am now considering taking this fatty acid, better known as C:15 or pentadecanoic acid.
Been a while since this was discussed or mentioned on here, but with types of iron overload--a condition that is
not rare at all these days, hence the alarming rise in NALFD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease).
In short, anytime we consume alcohol, sugar or fructose it sets the stage for hyper concentration of iron.
As we all know, the mainstream in the last 7 decades has fed the public non-stop falsehoods over cholesterol and
saturated fat myths, when the real culprit this whole time was iron overload. Certainly it's more to it than that, however it explains some mysteries.
So unless we are consuming plenty of high-mountain grass-fed goat, or certain types of fish, we might be running low
on C:15 or pentadecanoic acid.
Of interest is this:
Adachi, K., Yokoyama, D., Tamai, H., Sadai, M., Oba, K. Effect of the glyceride of pentadecanoic acid on energy metabolism in hair follicles. Int J Cosmetic Sci 15, 125-131 (1993).
Also of interest is its effect on CB1 & CB2 receptors. This is very relevant to hair loss or growth.

Re: pentadecanoic acid
Hi CS, what supplements are out there for pentadecanoic acid? I saw one for $125 a bottle but hopefully there are others.

Yeah a bit pricey.
Here's a list of foods with it. I'm on the fence for the moment whether I actually need it.

Re: pentadecanoic acid
This C:15 supplement contains - FA15 (Pentodeconoic acid) 100 milligrams per capsule.
So roughly 12.5 grams of Whipped Butter (probably pasture-fed) would provide 100 milligrams.
or 12.5 grams of organic sunflower seed oil that is oxygen-radical free (pressed without any heat).
The only one on the market that exists is this brand.
https://andreasseedoils.com/collections/best-sellers/products/sunflower-seed-oil
Raw Grass-Fed Beef - (Australian Imported, External Fat) 312 mg per ounce.
For conventionally raised Ground beef (97% lean): Approximately 0.036 grams (36 milligrams) per 3-ounce serving.
Grilled T-Bone steak: Around 0.04 grams (40 milligrams) per 3-ounce serving
I think at this point, I'm now convinced I don't need it.
