Is this beneficial bacterial strain the Pièce de résistance?
I've been spending a 'boat load" on probiotics in the last year especially to counteract various endocrine disruptions which are pervasive.
For some, this new habit could provide the most significant changes in mood (produces more dopamine and oxytocin), improves collagen production in a big way (helps reverse the wrinkle effect on skin that is noticeable), improving glucose metabolism and liver health and much more.
So this video below will speak about not just an effective strain that will potentially repair some metabolic issues, it could also save us money by way of saving a portion of a Trillion plus live cultures and making additional batches in perpetuity without having to purchase anymore of that strain.

Additional info:
The vagus nerve acts as a two-way highway between the gut microbiome and the brain. Depression and anxiety can negatively affect the gut microbiome, while problems with the gut can cause depression and anxiety.
The good bacteria in the microbiome maintain and support the gut wall and keep bad bacteria in check. Antibiotics, herbicides like glyphosate, junk food, medication, stress, alcohol, pollution, and smoking diminish the microbiome. This results in fewer neurotransmitters, an alteration of blood sugar, the migration of pathogens into the small intestine, SIBO, inflammation, leaky gut, and allergies.
Dr. William Davis has developed an amazing protocol for growing your own probiotics. Dr. Davis studied the work of Dr. Irina Conboy, who isolated the benefits of the microbe L. reuteri in experiments with rats. Rats given L. reuteri experience anticancer effects, a better coat, improved healing time, improved muscle tone, increased mating behavior, and an amplified immune system.
All the benefits observed in rats also proved true in humans.
To make L. reuteri yogurt, combine one probiotic tablet of L. reuteri, inulin prebiotic fiber, and 2 tablespoons of organic half-and-half, and mix into a paste. Once mixed, add a quart of half and half and combine thoroughly. Add this mixture to a yogurt maker and cook at 99 degrees for 36 hours. Consume a half cup per day! You can also try adding vanilla and berries or a low-carb sweetener.

Sounds healthy. Is there any chance of too much of a good thing might be bad in the long run? Like gas and bloating from all that metabolism-istic fermentation?

Many of the videos on Youtube floating around that are based on Dr. Davis Yogurt recipe have a lot good feedback, via the comments. Haven't noted any complaints in that department.
Most of the reviews are promising.

Low vit B12 might play a role too for thyroid issues. Some people cant absorb it easily due to weak stomach acid and have to get injections. Sublingual B12 might work better too

The new frontier of sorts, at least in my opinion is the relevance of re-fortification of lost gut microbes.
So for example:
A reduced need for many supplemental vitamins and disappearance of their related deficiencies as we learn how to cultivate bacterial species that produce vitamins, such as vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B9 (folate) and B12.
Then of course, Vitamin K2 (menaquinone)
Food intolerances and allergies "born" from missing microbes---thanks to the dangerous practices of routine westernized medicine.
In addition, adding in microbes that can potentially eliminate harmful metabolites, such as uric acid in gout or oxalates in kidney stones, being managed by specific manipulations of the microbiome.
Over the years one frequently asked question has revolved around curcumin, such as is it a not good idea to use the "fancy" types such as bioperine (black pepper) or the "highly absorb-able" forms.
In this case, curcumin helps to prevent SIBO, so it's inability to travel beyond the GI tract is a benefit.
Not getting into the liver and/or the blood is not necessary.
So there are putative strains, that might help with hair growth and AGA/MPB.
At least in animal research, so take that with a grain of salt unless experimented with.

Re: Is this beneficial bacterial strain the Pièce de résistance?
I've got a yogurt update here:
Lactobacillus reuteri strains ATCC PTA 6475 & DSM 17938 work out the best.
So after doing a variety of experiments with different strains, I'm now sticking with just
these only.
