Exosome Therapy for Hair Loss
I've been reading up on something called exosome therapy for hair loss. The science seems very interesting. I was wondering what the consensus was for this treatment to regrow hair.

It's interesting that they are using exosomes. I'm sure everyone has heard this term plenty in the last 2 years. It's interesting how they benefit the body. But can it really regrow hair?

I noticed Dr. Andrew Kaufman has a pretty good head of hair lately. He's big on exosomes. I wonder if there is a connection.

I am really considering doing this. Can this cause cancer or illness?
Also, I am worried if it will be painful.

Re: Exosome Therapy for Hair Loss
I've asked a lot of people about their experience with exosome therapy. My impression from what I've heard so far is, the research appears more promising than the results.

Answer revealed:
Not exsomes, but something I've been doing for well over a decade.

Re: Exosome Therapy for Hair Loss
Hasn't there been any one that has done exosome therapy for hair loss and was impressed with the results? Not one person. That is quite worrying.
I am hoping though, that since the research is very positive, I would expect the results to be positive also.
I have a fear needles but I probably will go through this at some point.
Any supplements that I can take prior to the treatment to reduce pain and to be able to tolerate the procedure more easily? Something that also wouldn't adversely affect the treatment itself? I did read that we are not suppose to take anything to maximize efficacy, but I'm guessing taking something like kava and kratom wouldn't affect it negatively.

Based on the feedback on exosomes, it's not as optimistic as the studies suggest.
Some say 25% success rate.

Re: Exosome Therapy for Hair Loss
I had done exosomes treatment to my hair last year in May.
The results have been so so, so I'm not convinced, though there is a detail that I think might be important when it comes to results.
The exosomes were sourced from EXO|E(plant) and E-50 (salmon). From what I have seen on PubMed there are no studies of plant derived exosomes for the treatment of hair loss. The research was for the ones that were human derived. Could be it be that the human derived exosomes would be more effective?
There seems to be a few different type of them, but these are the only ones I know so far. Let me know if there is a specific type of exosome treatment I should be doing when considering exosome treatment.

I've looked at several papers on exosomes over the years. Many of these experiments are an attempt to uncover mechanisms, however the source of these exosomes are different (not always from humans) and the there's a inconsistent amount of other factors that could play or not play a role in how effective they might be.
I think the jury is still out.

Re: Exosome Therapy for Hair Loss
When talking about Mesenchymal stem cells(MSC), my understanding is that these are not exosomes, as exosomes are messages between these cells, but it seems exosomes can be "derived" from Mesenchymal stem cells. Exosomes are also derived from Adipose Derived Stem Cells which is fat.
Confusing thing is whether one does ADSC treatment or Mesenchymal stem cells treatment, or whether it is ASCE+(which seems to be plant based), they are all collectively called exosomes therapy, but the results might be very different.
Is there such a thing as a Mesenchymal stem cells treatment which is not exosomes? Would that be more effective? Is that treatment even available for hair loss? I also hear these stem cells(not exosome) treatment might have side effects and risks.
I'm trying to decide it doing a different type of exosome therapy is better, but I don't like the idea of doing liposuction(ADSC) even one doctor I spoke to implied its not a pleasant procedure, sounds quite painful or messy to me. Another is bone marrow which also sounds terrifying.
I had hoped one of these on shelf products, which requires no harvesting by the patient would be equally effective, but it seems such treatment doesn't exist. I guess the word I am looking for is allogenic vs autogenic exosome treatment. Allogenic exosome treatment seems to be illegal in US, UK & Europe. Not sure if it is worth going to Singapore, South Korea etc for this.

Re: Exosome Therapy for Hair Loss
The research and real world results so far on exosomes are not amazing enough to go out of one's way.
