solar eclipse on april 8
I'm off topic as usual but this has got me a little perplexed. There was a solar eclipse back in 2017 that caused a shadow path from east to west. This year the shadow will travel from south to north. If the sun always goes around us from east to west but at different levels depending on the season, is it the path of the moon that has changed? I thought the moon's orbit around the earth was pretty much the same going from east to west too. I've never see the moon come from the south and go north before in southern ontario, canuckland.

A lot of talk on this.....will it be a huge event or a giant nothing burger?
We shall soon see.

Supposed to see it around 3 pm for our area but farmer's almanac is predicting rain and snow on the 8th and sunny the next day. What a cruel joke that is lol

Found out that the moon always moves from west to east but its elliptic path can change over time so it can come from way down southwest-ish moving northeast-ish. The next big thing will be on april 13, 2029 when a killer meteor (apophis) will barely miss us....or not.

Quite the sight. Clouds cleared up just in time for a great view. Bought a lottery ticket too just in case it was a sign from the lottery gods LOL. But I think we all know how this eclipse really happened.
