FWIW most doctors are useless in this area. I was told I would need surgery for Carpal Tunnel. They told me to wear a brace and take a ton of ibuprofen etc.. etc... specialist to specialist... on and on....

It's almost 10 years later now and I use my hands more than ever with no issues in the entire time since I stopped listening to them and found out the causes instead of going by their ridiculous approaches.

Chuggin along. I got back to doing it more regularly after work got in the way for a bit. My left was lagging for a long time but now there's a whole bunch of new hairs coming in. The "M" shape of my widows peak is disappearing.

I actually had a massive shed over the last two months. Never shed that much since I was on pharma stuff but it's all long hairs and I have a big leap that just happened with my temples so I'm assuming it is foretelling great things to come! I literally am shocked at how much hair I still have on my head with how much I shed over the past two months. It was scary but given my scalp feels great and the hairline lowering even more I have to assume it's a good thing.

I also finally have the middle ridge of my head real loose and my head has certainly flattened a fair bit. Still get crunchy sounds sometimes, but a lot less than I was. For me those sounds were an important discovery.

I should also mention the left side lagging makes sense since it when I started this method I mainly focused on one side so I could tell if it was working. My right temple probably has a good month or two ahead of my left one and sometimes the scalp behind my left temple will still be a little tight.

Yup. I had one single hair that hasn't moved at all. It was a good inch and a half ahead of my hairline but it has almost been absorbed into the advancing tide now.

not to mention the shape of it is obvious at this point. It used to be a curved arch like a wizards hairline or something. This was after it got better from having the island forming of course which is forever ago now (seems like a dream almost.. or nightmare rather)
Now there's still some arch to it but it's slowly straightening out and looks very different then how it did before. there's no more big gradual curve above my ear/my temple no there's maybe an inch or so of the old curve and then it gets cut off with a straight line going to the front.

No possible way it isn't regrowth.

Also some of the area I'm getting this hair growing in hasn't had hair in a LONG long time. We're talking like 10 years or more. I had a widow's peak since high school.

Oh and that one single hair that was below my hairline used to only ever be like an inch or so in length. Now it is as long as the rest of my hair.

no to the olive oil. I do both pressing and pinching. I kind of roll my fingers on the area they're pressing during my pinch. hard to explain...

Do your research on olive oil if any of you is considering trying it. I do not put olive oil on my scalp but a large portion of olive oil is fake so make sure to find a reputable brand.

Take a look at this article: http://draxe.com/fake-olive-oil/

Really? Well why not upload some progress pics instead of chiming in about your amazing regrowth from DT? You been making these claims forever, but wont upload anything. Put up or shut the fuck up.

ETA: The same applies to you hairyshowers - you say you have progress pics, but every time you make a pathetic excuse that you're still on vacation with your missus, so will upload in a few more months. A few more months pass by, and you still make the same BS excuses.

Honestly at this very moment I'm not uploading because of dicks like you Xenon. I see a post like that and I just think. F#^% that guy and out of pure spite I ain't givin' you Sh%$. If you could grow up and keep your panties on and stop pulling that kind of garbage I would be glad to at this point but I see something like that, someone trying to strong arm me and pressure me while insulting me and frankly it just makes me not want to at all.
I got to where I am now without needing to see someone's pics. I'm sure others can too.

Besides I have posted pics in the past several times from various manual methods just not in the past 10 months or so when my temples have been filling in.

I just stop by here once in a while now and someone asked me how I was doing so I shared. But clearly it wasn't enough for you. As I've said before I don't have to share anything so back the F%$# up buddy. You're entitled to nothing and that's exactly what you make me want to share with you nothing.

Xenon you are just the worst.

Well, you have no problem reacting to my criticism now, so why would you have a problem if I scrutinized your progress pics? Answer: because you have nothing to show... the only thing that's "filling in" for you (or rather filling up) is the level of shit within you.

K. I'm not going down this road with you buddy. There's an obvious difference between responding the way I choose and me giving in your your bullying. Stop with the frikkin' tough guy bully BS it just runs me right off.
give up the stupid little head games to try and pressure people into doing things for you.

Try asking nicely next time and see where it gets you. I've answered some PMs and the civil questions put to me. I'm outta this board for a while again.

Guys like Xenon are a HUGE detriment to this board being useful to anyone. How many lurkers are never gonna post because of guys like him?

Anyway I'll be out for at least the summer I think. Eff this place.

Peace y'all!

What a pathetic excuse! All you had to do was upload a few progress pics for the benefit of everyone else interested in seeing your marvelous results but, instead, you bailed when confronted about your lack of evidence, then try to make out that I'm a bully.

People like you have zero problems making fanciful claims, but when it comes to backing up your claims with evidence you turn into a persecuted victim, then disappear.

Christ man, even the small amount of regrowth, I've managed to attain, was pictured and uploaded, and I have zero problems with anyone criticizing my progress / quality of pics. It's not me making claims that my hairline has been filling in for aeons from DT -- it is you, therefore you should be putting your money where your mouth is and upload. What's really so difficult about that? ...scared of a little criticism from me?

Give me a break.

How the heck do you guys pinch your scalp?

Are you talking about your index finger and your thumb, its nearly impossible. The only way for me to do this is to press both my hands down on my scalp, and where the fingers meet it causes the scalp to rise up (kinda like a pinch).

The thing is, doing this is tough. If this was guaranteed to work, I'd probably spend a lot of time doing it. But so far I don't know how long I can keep this up.

20min is a long time, even once a day.

And is it true the elasticity increase on the forehead and temples?

I have photos, I aim to take more and compare them in order to create 'progress pics'.

Vacation? No, I'm travelling (with my girlfriend) and have been for the past 10months.
A few more months? Yes. When I return back to the UK.
I am hoping I can get some close up photos to show clear regrowth (really hoping to capture hairline/temple growth).

I'm not replying to argue xenon (I feel too old for that). Just trying to straighten out some of your claims (or flames..).
To some degree I understand and agree with your point, and intend to 'shut the fuck up until I put up'.

I will make some updates soon, until then I will continue to lie low.

I am currently on hard-mode NoFap and my scalp is much much looser. It is unbelievable.

Try pinching after a shower, or with your head angled down a bit. Also, could try lying down and watching tv as you do it. I set up a bunch of pillows... two to prop of my head and 2 on either side to prop up my arms so I can laze out as I pinch. Time goes by so fast when your mind is on more than just boring pinching

Is anyone here combing DT with Intermittent Fasting?

Faither already posted in this forum a website where a guy doing this got great results.

He does IF once a week and then tried DT for 10 months and got these results.

Detumescence Therapy- dedicated volunteers wanted - Page 28 Jdbeforeafter

Check it:

Code:
jdmoyer.com/2015/04/13/hair/

Code:
jdmoyer.com/2014/03/17/intermittent-fasting-update/

I started IF about 2 weeks ago with the leangains protocol where I fast for about 16/18 hours a day. I also do a kind of DT but instead of my fingers I use a wooden massager similar to the one in this picture bellow. I have a ritual where I massage my scalp for a few seconds until it turns red every time I go to the bathroom.

Detumescence Therapy- dedicated volunteers wanted - Page 28 Wooden%20massage853

The scalp feels great and loose, will report back if I get any visible results.

Be Cool, I previously viewed J.D. Moyer - and, yes, it does appear that he has gained some decent ground. Now, if only 'dedicated volunteers' would regularly upload their progress pics, then people like me would be less critical. Seriously, what's so difficult about that? I don't even care if your cam aint so great, if you're gaining decent ground, then upload. There's no excuses.

Xenon, I have PM'd you multiple times throughout the last two years and responded to your comments on this forum, so you have to hold some credibility towards me. My scalp DEFINITELY feels healthier after starting DT and have noticed really hard tissue underneath that is painful. When I break it down overtime, it smoothens out and doesn't hurt nearly as bad and the itch comes to a halt. That is all telling me that it is at the very least creating a stable environment for hair regrowth.

Yeh, damnit, I've read all about this, but I'm directing my criticism, solely, at those claiming, for a long time, that they have been gaining lots of hair, yet refuse to take pics and upload. They're using my scrutiny as a reason for not uploading, but have no issues at all replying in defense of how great DT is.

As for JD Moyer, I can't deny he's gained ground, and I can only take his word for it that he achieved this from DT. Now if everyone, claiming growth from DT, just uploaded regularly updated progress pics, then I'd shut my mouth. It's as simple as that.
