4 1/2 months in and I have definitely lost more than gained. In all the methods I have tried, NEVER have I experienced a shed like this. My hairline has receded, yet I have much more vellus hair than I ever have covering my temples. Is the shed a definite sign of good things to come?

On another note that I haven't realized up until this point, but my temples never itch anymore. My scalp has flattened out considerably and somehow feels "normal". It feels healthy, pliable, and alive. Very difficult and abstract way to explain it, but that is the most accurate way I can in this circumstance.

Fingers crossed that it's good!

It probably is, but I would be so sad if somehow it wasn't. Best to stay positive, relax and keep at it though. Assuming you're doing things properly and not tearing out hairs then it's very likely good. Especially with the no itch.

As well as the increased vellus temple coverage and the fact that he can actually see the regrowth with the naked eye.. I would say that it's a great thing that he's shedding more than he did with other previous treatments since this is 100% normal (unless he's pulling hairs out like you said) and I give him credit for being as honest and conservative as possible through this journey... We've been having more and more positive reports and I don't doubt for a second that we will all have 100% regrowth.

Congrats Grow!

I'm 3 months and a week into it and I've been shedding like crazy. A lot more hair falls out while I do it than before. Then again I'm also shedding skin, if that makes any sense, a lot of flakiness. My scalp becomes very oily as well.

Complexx weren't you derma rolling?

Whats your protocol? how often? do you DT the next day right after? etc

Nope... I tried it for a bit but saw no point since DT works so well alone. As for your questions though, my protocol is very simple. For manuals: I do DT (pinch/squeeze/knead ALL over my scalp somewhat gentle while increasing the the intensity little by little) I massage my Frontalis, occipitalus, back of the head, and face (massaging the face is optional) I wash my hair once a week with Dr.Broners Eucalyptis liquid soap a day after I apply/massage Emu & Castor oil all over my scalp (I apply those two oils once a week,)

As for internals: I take MSM (8-10g a day) first thing in the morning and sometime in the afternoon... I make sure so consume the MSM on am empty stomach both times.... I also take Mercolas Krill Oll, Ecklonia Cava, Decalcify, and 3 innerlight supergreens juices every day (I also make sure to take a break from supps and take 2weeks off every other month)

Oh and I almost forgot... As I continue to fix & optimize my posture, results have been increasing. I can't stress how important it is to fix/correct both your cranio facial region and your overall posture. This I feel is a vital part that people rarely talk about on this forum.

Hope this helps man

I had a shed from DT too. I just said 'fingers crossed' because I don' want to build it up too much. I'd say I'm %100 it's good, but I don't believe anyone be %100 about anything like this.

so "fingers crossed"

I'm also down for that thread. It's something I work on too.

Have some good resources I could share on it like a trigger point therapy book and such.

But did you go back to normal? Are there any cosmetic results?

How about anyone besides Drex? Any cosmetic results?

Out of curiosity, is anyone here on the DT train also doing LLLT?

I know Drexx was doing violet ray for a while, but I curious about lasers. If anyone is using them in conjunction with DT.

Not to get too OT but care to share a regimen for this?

Just wanted to clarify on something I said before... I take a break from SOME Supps for about two weeks every 2 months, not every month. I do this after 6-12 months after taking the supps consistently and I always stay on the essential supps.

Anyways, as for your question, it all depends on your postural problem(s) man. Do you know if you have a postural issue? And if so, what is it? This would help me answer your question a lot better. I would highly recommend seeing a good chiro that actually fixes the core issues instead of trying to maintain you as a patient/client by only dealing with the symptoms. You can go to him/her and find out what you have, receive an adjustment, and find out what postural issue(s) you may have so you can take care of your issues at home with specific stretches/yoga stretches, exercises, and some trigger point therapy. It can be as simple as purchasing a good foam roller/rumble roller and combining the use of that with some specific stretching technique, or something less cost effective like getting some Bowen therapy done...

6 months-1 year is usually the "sweet spot" for realigning the body to it's optimal position depending on how long you've had your specific postural issue(s.) Also, MSM & niacinamide can aid in moving things back to normal more quickly (IMO.)

As for fixing your cranio facial problems, I guess I can mention that in a new thread since several people have requested to start one.... I can make a thread tomorrow so we can all contribute and share what we know.

Which supps do you consider essential that you dont take a break from?

Im curious as Ive been MSM 8grams Vit c 4 grams/day solid for the last 2 1/2 years. I also take NAC 600mg 2xday same amount of time. Im wondering if I should be taking a break from these or not..

I've been doing this since about December, though there were times I missed quite a bit of time in between. Been doing it really seriously for about a month now. Unfortunately I can't really see any progress yet for sure. Sometimes I think the diffuse areas look better but I can't be sure. The oilyness has not resolved and that is what worries me most. How can hair grow on a scalp this oily? Well at least the inflammation is mainly gone and my scalp is way looser.

sanderson wrote:when i push down on the sides of my head, it brings pain along with it.

ive strated massaging the area, but it is honestly a little painful.

Sanderson, iv noticed something similar. Let me explain:
Although iv been doing this massage for the past 7 months, only recently have I been fully committed - by this I mean I have just started massaging my entire scalp (not just the 'problem' areas, vertex/crown/hairline), and only recently have I started putting in the full 40mins per day (in two sessions). Now that I have begun massaging all areas of my scalp, I have noticed it is especially tight around the entire border of my healthy hair vs thinning hair, requiring two hands to make DT pinches. Hard to explain but I mean the areas where the borders of the Frontalis, Occipitalis, Temporalis meet the Galea. It is also particularly sensitive in these areas and quite painful to pinch.
Anyway all good results-wise and slow progress for me. Still producing oils/grease after each session and still losing some hair whilst doing the massage, but this is the only time I shed now which is very promising. Can still feel pliable lumps under my scalp, particularly along the 'scalp ridge', so I spend alot of time attempting to knead these out with pinches from all directions.

Wish I had taken photos before I started this DT journey. My hair definitely looks alot better than it did 6 months ago, but I have no proof to back that claim up - to forum members, or myself.
I take no supplements/drugs/lasers/shampoos etc, use no other manual methods, eat alot of crap (though do try to avoid grains as much as possible, but still have a soft spot for pizzas), and have quit masturbating for moral reasons unrelated to hair but still have sex with my girlfriend most days.
Planning on shaving my hair off, for convenience rather than to accept my hair-loss - as I am currently traveling around the world. I think having a shaved head will make it easier to notice changes in hair density and will result in less hairs being plucked while massaging.
May take a few photos soon to post on this thread, no promises, but if I do please know I wont be able to get ultra close-up shots like drex or reproduce same lighting etc. At least if I have a shaved head I can have the same hair length for comparison between photos.

Keep it up guys,
Peace out

hey guys thanks for the kinds words!

i've been doing manuals for about 9 months now... but only DT for 3. first 6 months were just brushing my scalp and stretching my scalp (which did give me very good regrowth). DT has actually transformed my scalp health and has sped up my results insanely. stick with it boys i promise there is light at the end of this tunnel for us all. just do this RELIGIOUSLY. make it a priority every day. like brushing your teeth. never forget. your hair will thank you. best of luck and i'll keep everyone posted as things unfold over the summer.
