Densiti and modern equol solutions

How far did we get on the equol thing in the end? I've seen some interest in this stuff on other forums: http://densiti.com/

One guy is actually even claiming results. I am unsure what the current status is of equol threads/discussions..

Oh, incidentally as well, what IS wrong with just like, increasing equol in your bloodstream? Couldn't you just inject it or something lol, would it reach your blood stream in supplement form?

Oh additionally, let's say for arguments sake we are unable to get equol into us, or one of it's properties are undesirable, or it does not act the way we want it to.

Couldn't we just come up with a synthetic drug that binds to DHT in the bloodstream? Bit of a digression I know, but I'm just saying that if the underlying concept behind equol is sound, then why not make it reality regardless?

From what I've read nobody has a conclusion on that. The maker of densiti said on HLH said a while back that there were no side effects, but nobody else has weighed in. I would expect fewer side effects than finasteride, since 5ar inhibition affects a lot of neurosteroids while equol only affects DHT. However I would still expect some side effects from the equol.

Are there any worries about increased estrogen production due to soy intake?

If I go with 16oz of organic Silk(which is non GMO) + densiti + greek yogurt that should ramp up the equol production, but what about any feminizing effects?

Check out this story. Yes its sensationalized, but could there be some truth to it?

Also, Jeremy Piven (actor, Entourage) claimed he also experienced some feminizing effects after drinking soy milk.

I did quit drinking regular milk and switched over to Almond milk with no adverse effects.

But, in both of these cases, the men were drinking 96+ oz of soy milk per day, which is 6x the 16oz I'm considering. Still, food for thought...

I don't think its as serious as the article says. You don't see asian men walking around with boobs. But they do have the most feminizing look of all races so that could be a correlation.

CS loves equol last thing I read! I read in a previous thread that at one point he said he was really keen on finding a way to allow people who are not naturally "producers" of it to use it. The problem is that apparently only about 30% of people can produce equol naturally, hence the existence of products like Densiti.

Or were you referring to Densiti specifically Nrwgn? I do hope it does do something, and that we can finally start getting some equol into our bodies!

As for the estrogenic effects.. I dunno, I would imagine that a good T production and estrogen/estradiol kept under control would keep this in check. Maybe something like grape seed extract and a good supply of vitamin D?

I wonder what the best way is to get the soy into your body though. I hear that non-fermented soy is bad news, but fermented is probably ok. However, you would imagine that there are better ways to get the most active components of soy into your body (the parts that are made into equol inside the body). It might be best if we try to outline what these are.

I believe the problem with just taking equol is it does not enter the blood, it breaks down. It sounds extreme but, couldn't one simply inject it?

I really do find the properties of equal a very exciting concept in terms of fighting MPB. I truly hope it lives up to it's expectations and we can make further discoveries and progressions related to it

In any event, this probiotic is worth a try.

Last year we spent a good deal of time focusing on probiotics and, and if they are the correct strains for the individual, they can really protect the skin and hair quite well.

Stonyfield as organic soy yogurt. 2 birds with one stone?

The dose of Bacillus coagulans might be higher since the proprietary blend is 1040 mg

Hoppipolla - Making equol (perhaps with the probiotic) and other means is preferable to taking an equal preparation, because of the intermediates and steps to its metabolization.

In other words, based on the research it appears that making equol yourself is better than taking an equol pill.

shedding MAY kick in after about 2/3 weeks to a month?

also how long/short is your hair? and what norwood are you?

im looking to start on this as well but i really dont want to go through another shed right now, im waiting for these hairs to grow back before starting.

As of right now I have a little thinning in the crown. Not slick bald. If I have a good hair day its not really noticeable. My hairline is thinning and is probably a half inch back from its original. All this has been happening since I was 16. Started early on the hair loss but its been really slow. Especially since my diet isn't the best and i haven't done anything for my hair loss up until a few months ago. The salonist I went to said that I actually have tons of baby hairs all over my scalp so that is good news. My hair is medium length

CS would if I took a equol pill with Densiti?

Swimmy - You would probably be better off taking this product due to the correct amount of Daidzein and Genistein in it.
