simple detumescence question
Hey Guys,
Been following the manual method threads for a while. As I go through all the posts however, it seems like everyone has their own method for kneading and massaging their scalp. Some are using fingers, some are squeezing skin with their palms, some are using towels… etc. My question is: Is there an "official" method that I can lock in as the right one or is a matter of taste and finger endurance? Id like to know which method has been getting the best results for people. Thank you very much.
PS: do you just pinch and rub your scalp or do you have a specific technique. For how long? thank u

Re: simple detumescence question
for me it depends on the parts of the scalp. Some parts fingers are sufficient, others I have to go in with the knuckles if I want to pinch the skin. I wouldn't use the towel, I find hands easier. As a matter of results I don't think there will be much difference as long as you are wounding the skin and braking hardened tissue.
p.s. I just started myself so maybe someone with more experience will be able to help you more! good luck

I use the palms because I can create deeoer larger cirlces in my scalp with them. I dont get the penetration with fingers, plus it hurts my hands more :p

use the fingertips of both hands but instead of only pinching the skin try to GRIND it by moving the fingers into opposite direction past each other while pushing together, this is even more effective if you do circular motions, just make sure you grind the skin.
this is much better than the standard pinching technique.

Re: simple detumescence question
believeinit would you have any recommendations for covering the mid scalp and front of the head ?
I find it quite easy to pinch my crown, but the front and mid are quite difficult...

Re: simple detumescence question
hello radiance the mid to top section is very hard to pinch in my case too.
i work my whole head in the way i was describing before:
create skinfolds between fingertips of both hands and grind the fold between the fingertips.
if your scalp is too tight to do this you might want to try this technique, look at "2- Suction pad massage"
http://www.centre-clauderer.com/en/scalp-massages/frizzy.htm
this is very good to loosen up the entire galea section before you start working the details with fingertips.
also you can try to push up your scalp at the sides, to create more looseness at the top.
