Hairloss and Exhaustion - Advice?
I am a 24 year old male, with receding hairline and thinning in the crown. The hair in these areas is very weak and sheds easily.
None of my grandparents were bald. My father has a receding hairline but still has thick healthy hair, even on the crown. My brothers, older and younger, have slightly receding hairlines, but they are not balding.
I noticed my shedding about a year ago and it seems like it stopped for a couple months but now is worse than ever and I get comments from friends about it. I sort of brushed it off as just a receding hairline until I took a picture of the top of my head and saw how thin the crown was.
I started using a minoxidil product about 3 months ago but haven't seen much improvement (few small, thin hairs only).
I started a new job in a new state about 1.5 years ago and I would say that it is a high stress job, though I feel now that it is not very stressful compared to when I started. I rarely drink - about once a month - but I do drink heavily sometimes. I have a pretty regular diet eating cafeteria food at work (not the healthiest option, but the only option). I supplement my diet with protein shakes, multi-v, vitamin D, fish oil, and a probiotic.
Please. Help.
Also, and this may be unrelated, I am EXHAUSTED. I tried a low carb diet for 2 or 3 days while traveling home from vacation, and I have been very tired and weak since (it has been 2 weeks) even back on my regular diet. I feel very tired until later in the afternoon maybe 5pm or 6pm. It is definitely affecting my work and mood.
