I heard that selenium is best taken as Methylselenocysteine, 200 mcg per day,

Is that a good idea?

I take Methylselenocysteine I previously took selenomethionine. Some info here under "Different Forms of Selenium" http://www.advance-health.com/selenium.html

Would like to hear Immortal's opinion on this aswell. Methylselenocysteine seems to have all of the benefits of the other forms of selenium yet none of the downsides.

Selenium is one of those minerals that diet alone can not be relied on to supply it. Since it's crucial for glutathione production, it's really essential as part of a multivitamin component. I use Ortho-Core usually, which does contain the Methylselenocysteine form.
