Selenium and inflammation Empty Selenium and inflammation

Hi

For the first time in 45-50 days, I experienced inflammation in my scalp yesterday. My daily regimen is the following

100% gluten and dairy free
Magnesium Aspartate
MSM
Brewers Yeast
Curcumin
Resveratrol
Vitamin C

3-4 hours before experiencing inflammation, I took some selenium (http://www.iherb.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Selenium-Synergy-200-mcg-60-Capsules/169?at=0) for the first time. I have never heard or read about selenium inducing scalp inflammation - can you shed some light on this?

Best,
Jimmy.

I was intend to came up with this earlier, but I still did not went through the topics I want.
I experienced something similar... I add Selenium to my regimen, but only in 50% of daily recomended dose. As soon as I add another pill and I get to 100%, I noticed inflammation on my scalp. I wanted to ask CS about this, but waited for unkonwn reason. Probably for this thread to appear Very Happy ...
I was wondering if it is not a sign of detoxification...

And, do you take MSM topicaly or internally? There were som rumors about topical usage, but I am not sure...

I also thought it might be detox, but then again - so many people use it, so if it truly was some reaction to detoxification, I believe we would have heard about it.
