I really don't like Mercola that much...
I used to...
But it's just CONSTANT scare tactics. Like my e-mail inbox is full of e-mails from his site, which I would read if they didn't all have fear-mongering titles. In fact hell it's not only that, but fear-mongering titles promoting a particular product or supplement too!

I think the scare tactic is to get people who otherwise would never click on something like this "Vitamin K2 may be beneficial"
because it wasn't said with enough intensity... You don't have a gun to your head forcing you to buy his products, and he usually provides a study with his claims..and You dont have a gun pointed at your head forcing you to believe the studies either idk i think the scare tactic/intensity thing is necessary here... a lot of other magazines are like
Q "is it beneficial to eat organic foods?"
A "not really, organic and nonorganic are the same but, buy organic when you can".
Q "is it bad to eat a lot of bread?"
A "No, bread is good!"
Q "am I in danger of ingesting too much mercury from my food?"
A "No! all the levels of mercury in food are safe"
lol i read all three of those answers in an Oprah magazine yesterday at the checkout line..why do you want more of the same old same old/ id rather hear a scare tactic than a seething lie at least you can interpret his scare tactics on your own. what is there to interpret from other mainstream sources?

I agree with ailin. Yes, Mercola goes overboard on dangers and scare tactics, but certainly better than
the propaganda from most other media sources.

This Mercola guy is total quack, he pretends myopia can be cured naturally, but it's just physically impossible, he lied openly and he did on purpose in those video about nearsightedness "it really works!!" he said. Pitiful guy, I hope he'll get arrested someday for the BS he spreads on the web. voilou

And? I had PRK, I have 20/10 vision, thanks lol, you can't improve your vision naturally, except if it's due to stress of fatigue I admit, but not nearsightedness

My understanding so far is that you can improve DAMAGE to your eyesight, like the damage my eyes are suffering at the mercy of this pc monitor for hours on end lol
You do that I think with spirulina and gac fruit or whatever, stuff like that that nourishes the body with the correct things for eye repair. Genetic myopia though I dunno, I doubt it o.O

Re: I really don't like Mercola that much...
That's what I'm saying Hoppi! Genetic myopia can be corrected permanently by surgery only

Mercola's heart is in the right place, and he deserves credit for pushing issues that the main stream does not care about. I don't believe his claim that his website was costing him $500,000/year to run.

yeah that does sound a bit mental... doesn't sound like it could be true...
Re: I really don't like Mercola that much...
Look, Mercola is not perfect, but he is NOT a con artist either, at least not in my book. I agree with abc123, he is pushing the right issues, almost getting into mainstream. We need people like him! He is an asset. But surely we need to keep our eyes on him, but this goes for the entire alternative industry.
"Running" a complete website like that could easily cost $500,000/year.

Mercola has a staff of writers, he probably has to pay legal fees and operating costs. Main expense is probably the building lease and salaries he has to pay.
