CS, what would you recommend for kidney stones? Empty CS, what would you recommend for kidney stones?

Post  fumanchu Thu Jun 10, 2010 9:20 am

My father had blood in his urine and a back ache, so he went to the clinic. The doctor told him he had kidney stones, prescribed him medication (of course), and said to let the drug do the work.

I'm a little worried this drug might be terribly toxic...he's already taking medicine for his diabetes. I'm not sure if it's type 1 or type 2. But I haven't even looked into those yet. God knows he needs more.

I looked up kidney stones in the search function and all that came up was preventing them. Are there natural, unpainful, quicker ways of ridding oneself of kidney stones?

fumanchu - This will get rid of the kidney stones:

On prevention, have him take B6 and Magnesium (essential with diabetes anyway) and they will not return.

MSM got rid of my kidney stones, recommendation is 8 grams am and 8 grams pm, I took 4 and 4 grams on empty stomach. After 2 to 3 months they where gone.

From what I know the sulfur in msm dissolves the stones / calcium deposits.

If any of my friends got a kidney stone, they'd simply jet to the hospital before trying any of these methods.

This is awesome information.

Do you guys realize that most people are dying to hear this type of info but don't know where to look? Major props to everyone on this forum for your hunger & rage to explore.

More info here: http://www.immortalhair.org/apps/blog/show/1769897-kidney-stones-alkalinity

I'm slowly building a tiny library of natural fixes. Most people would ignore it and opt for "cut, burn and poison" since that is the only thing that strikes familiarity.

I remember wasting a lot of time trying to convince patients who were scheduled for heart bypass surgery not go through with it--and to do something else. They were too scared 95% of the time even when I pointed to studies. Fear takes over a lot of people.

CS, what would you recommend for kidney stones? Empty Re: CS, what would you recommend for kidney stones?

Post  Abhi Sat Jun 12, 2010 6:46 pm

CS, my dad has a 1.3 cm size stone in his urinary bladder. He is due for surgery this month where they go through the urethra and blast the stone to bits and pull out the pieces. My dad does have a tendency to form kidney stones but the urinary bladder stone is a first.
He is willing to try herbs and supplements for the stone but he is really scared that the stone might break and one of the pieces might get stuck in the urethra which is about 8mm in diameter.

All in our family do understand that it's best if surgery is avoided.
The symptoms are that there is pain and burning sensation after urination which goes on for a few minutes to an hour and then it subsides. Just yesterday he started on this Ayurvedic medicine Cystone which we think will help. But still he is very apprehensive about the possibility of the stone getting stuck in the Urethra which will warrant immediate surgery.

Do you have any suggestions, CS? Maybe some supplement which would dissolve the stone without breaking it up...

Any help will be appreciated.

Abhi - Chanca piedra relaxes the tube in the urinary tract, which is normally taught. It shouldn't worsen the problem. Another treatment if the former doesn't work is called frequency specific microcurrent. Here is a directory.

Thank you CS for the reply and the link. But I stay in India and there are no practitioners here. Do you think surgery could cause issues or should we go ahead with it?

I will also try to get hold of Chanca piedra. Its supposedly called BhuiAmla in India...lil brother of Amalaki(Indian Gooseberry).

Abhi - I'm not sure if it would work, Phyllanthus niruri is Chanca Piedra, wheras BhuiAmla is
Phyllanthus amarus. The same family but would not expect it to work like Chanca Piedra.

If he can receive a Magnesium IV, that may help quite a bit.
