Saw Palmetto - DHT Blockers comparison to Finasteride

How can the effectiveness of natural DHT blockers like Saw Palmetto, Stinging Nettle, Beta Sitesterols etc compare with the effectiveness of Finasteride?
I know that DHT blocking is only part of the problem, but even though I 've taken Saw Palmetto in the past, I've never been consistent with it.
Wouldn't the side effects of the natural supplements be the same as that of Fin?
Is there a way to ameliorate the potential side effects? Would taken tamoxifen at the same time as a prevention be a good idea?

Each type of "5-AR" inhibitor has a different mechanism. At least from my own experiences, which I have shared decades ago, the dose is everything.
Right dose is critical to prevent side-effects. As for tamoxifen...wouldn't touch it.
Topical on the BS and SP would be a safer approach so then side-effects would not be a concern.
