TUDCA and Citrus Pectin for detox and to bind toxins?
Hi CausticSymmetry, I have learned a lot from this group and your comments for years. I've been gone for a while and now I am back as I have a question, and when searing only 1 post shows up.
I have started taking iver, to de-worm my body.. and i am considering fen-ben. While researching that i saw some people saying they take TUDCA, and others take Citrus Pectin to help bind and get rid of toxins and help the liver.
Wanted to ask you specifically about these 2. What's your opinion on TUDCA? How about the Citrus Pectin?
Some say that making a drink by boiling citrus peels will create citrus pectin, so i am ok with that, but also looking at the pill form of this.
This is to help detox toxins from parasites dying .. and other detox. When a parasite dies, they say heavy metals and other toxins are released, also biofilm, and unhealthy cells.
I am not taking anything for liver support, i am using iver, and diatomaceous earth currently, if i feel sick i take activated charcoal. Want to add pectins or tudca so i came here looking, specially on tudca as many are saying it's very effective.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Tudca (Tauroursodeoxycholic acid) is good stuff (for liver detox and bile support).
Citrus pectin....really it's modified citrus pectin - Modified because standard pectin will not adsorb.
I take the stuff every once in a while for a period....It's generally gentle enough, and would start slow even
though the dosages are quite high for detoxing heavy metals.

Thank you! I was thinking that, yep the supplements are Modified pectin, but the people in the FB group who have been soaking citrus fruit in water and simmering report improvements which they are attributing to the pectin in the fruit skins.. I dont know how / why that is.

CausticSymmetry, if one is getting rid of parasites, breaking down biofilm, and breaking down 'c' cells .. how would you improve the detox, what would you take? DE, charcoal, NaRALA, curcumin, selenium, vit C, tocopherols, TUDCA, pectin, what are the top 3 you would use? Thanks

Totally depends on the type of "c" and patient history.
Also on the other areas...unfortunately, also depends on individual tolerances. This is why there are so many different ways to perform these kinds of actions. There are sensitivities and different levels of toxicity and interference reasons why some of that cannot be used versus another.

I agree. Thanks. Do you have plans to write a book some day?

I've thought about it for a long time. Really didn't think I would be ready for something like that until perhaps recently. That said, if it were to be done, I've heard of some authors who put words to publishing based on conversations. At least for me, would allow the process to be more fluid, easier to produce and more digestible for the reader.
