Tamoxifen - Can it prevent and/or reduce gynocomastia?

I am thinking to start Tamoxifen to prevent gynocomastia? What are some of the side effects that I should look out for? Is it considered a dangerous medication to take? Funnily enough I've heard it has other benefits besides gyno. Would it be worth taking it at half the dosage or perhaps alternating days on and off or would that be a waste? Also I have read that it can even help fat loss in breast tissue. Is this true?

I've got an alternative to toxic-Tamoxifen, which is Turmeric root.

Tamoxifen potential side effects include are:

•  Hot flashes

•  Nausea

•  Vomiting

•  Headache

•  Fatigue

•  Mood changes

•  Decreased libido

•  Erectile dysfunction

•  Weight gain

•  Hair thinning

•  Skin rash

•  Vision problems

•  Blood clots

•  Stroke

•  Liver damage
