Interesting Observation on Tamoxifen (SERMs)
I have reluctantly been on Tamoxifen for the past two weeks or so. To begin with, some of the initial effects I've noted: stomach cramps, highly increased urination, loss of body fat, no changes to hair. Now consider that this drug is a selective estrogen receptor modulator. We know that for the better part of the body it is blocking estrogen from binding to its receptor, with an exception in a few tissues where it is an estrogen agonist, like bone and liver.
I have felt sick while being on the drug. I experienced bad diarrhea and an insane loss of water. Now at first, I had considered that this was probably a bad reaction to the drug itself. I stopped taking it for a few days. I have continued to be sick with a cold. Now mind you, I have not been sick in years (really) and it seems to correlate well with when I put on a ton of weight. When I got fat, I stopped getting sick. You may be getting a hint of where I'm going.
Aside from the possibility that I am simply reacting to the drug adversely, could this sickness and these sides be a result of lowering total estrogen load instead? We know the immune system is basically limp when there is a significant imbalance in the steroid hormones. Could my body, by increasing the excretion of estrogen, be restoring the test:est balance and the immune system finally "waking up". Could the inflammation in the gut (which I haven't had the entire time I've been unhealthy and very overweight), be the immune system suddenly recognizing pathogens in the gut? Is this all a "herx" from lowering my estrogen load?

I used Nolvadex 5mg (tamox) in post-fin recovery, I did not have any side with him I could recover my testosterone levels with him my erection back to normal, could have sex up to 4x a day, something that could not before

Interesting. I am using 20mg a day per the directions, and I wonder if this difference of magnitude in estrogen inhibition is whats causing the different effects. I mean that's four times what you were taking per day. And its funny because I've actually lost sex drive since being on this. I know estrogen plays a role in libido, so perhaps I'm dropping E too much. I've no idea where my test levels are at at this point. In theory they should ahve increased, but I"m not getting tested again until November so we'll see.

Isn't clomid the same type of drug as nolva/tamox? I thought Clomid was a SERM as well. I've considered HCG, but am waiting until I get my tests to do anything for sure. In the meantime I'm simply using natural means to try and raise T. I've never tried anything natty for raising T and to be honest, I doubt they work. But I'm going to give it a go, even if they convert to estrogen I've got the antagonist in the tamox. I'm hoping the d-aspartic acid stacks up to the claims, but again, I have to doubt it.

how much of this are you take? I'm looking something for lower estrogen also, but 20mg (this is what i found at pharmacy) looks too much.
was thinking to try something like broccomax or better chrysin for starting...
DIM seems to cause hair loss also, so i don't know what is best for that purpose

How did it cause hair loss? Just curious because I've seen a few people claim they lost more hair on it but i've never read an actual reason for it.
