I'm a little worried. I thought I was making progress and then all of a sudden BAM! I am experiencing an increased amount of hair falling out and thinning, especially towards the front. My scalp is much more visible than just a couple of weeks ago. My regime is pretty solid and is outlined below. Just recently I've lost 20 pounds as a result of changing to a healthy diet and exercising 6 days a week. Could the weight loss have caused the thinning and hair fall out and is it likely to grow back??

I've been on the supplement regime for approx 4 months and the laser helmet for almost 1 year

Morning:
L - carnosine 500 mg
Ashwaganda
Antarctic krill (IH) 1000 mg
Stabilized r - lipoic acid (IH) 100th
Decalcify (IH) 1 capsule
Ecklonia cava (IH) 10 mg
Full spectrum enzyme

Afternoon:
Stabilized r - lipoic acid (IH) 100th
Decalcify (IH) 1 capsule
Full spectrum enzyme

Evening:
Ashwaganda
Biotin 5000 mg
l- carnosine 500 mg
Antioxidant Boost (IH) 2 capsules
Stabilized r - lipoic acid (IH) 10 mg
Decalcify (IH) 1 capsule
Ecklonia cava (IH) 1 capsule
Full spectrum enzyme

other things I do
OMG laser helmet 3x a week
Rejuviplex in the am
Super zix II in the pm
for shampoo I use regenepure

You're probably not getting enough carbs and working out too much. Just take it easy and work out at a natural pace and stop sooner.

Check your iron (ferritin), get it above 70, IMO around 100 is probably better. Exercise caused low ferritin for me, which I think aggravated hair loss.

Interesting, I have not heard about ferritin being an issue but can see from Google that low levels can be a cause of hair loss. I'm having it tested tomorrow.

Please post back with the result. I know of a few people who have suspected their hair loss was caused in part by exercise. I want to try to get some data on this.

I will. Had blood drawn for ferritin levels today. Should have results mid next week.

Lab results came back, ferritin levels are good. 113. Back to not having a freaking clue. Could this be a cleansing reaction from eating clean and exercising along with the regime? Hoping hair will grow back in, fuller?

It's possible you are focusing on exercise quantity and not quality or endurance vs. speed/strength.

Look into HIIT. You are going to maximize your results including increased metabolism, GH release, aerobic capacity and fat loss and an overall reduction in cortisol and lactic acid. Your body will also remain in a state of anabolism longer, while catabolically burning fat.

I'm fairly big and only lift weights 1x a week for upper, 1x a week for lower with every exercise to failure for 1 hour in total. The secret is to take rests inbetween sets. I'm lucky enough to have an exercise room in my house and take full advantage. Then I do treadmill, burpees, bicycling etc. 2x a week or 30 minutes in total.

Yea that's pretty much a perfect ferritin. You can search for posts by user danthethinningman on this forum, his hair loss started after exercise + low carb diet and he claimed to cure it using B vitamins and some minerals.
