Re: My green tea, coconut topical and green juicing progress
Not sure if this is a concern for anyone but both chlorella and spirulina have very large amounts of iron in them. I have an iron overload condition and therefore cant supplement with either one but in general its bad practice for men to to ingest high levels of iron. Although they contain a plant based iron which is not as well absorbed and chlorella is technically a chelator, it doesnt seem to chelate iron well so it will actually raise your total iron level if taken regularly. Anyone of European descent especially Irish and Scottish heritage should check your levels before supplementing those products. i hope the topical works without the internals because I would still like to reap benefits from this regimen.

Hi, Sage. Is this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hydkSZEgKO8
- the youtube video you said you stumbled upon before creating your mix?
It's quite similar and worked really well.
3-4 weeks - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hydkSZEgKO8
6 months - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9dMYh_W-VA
making the shampoo : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfLkf5hn9aM
I wish I had seen this video before to inspire me with your recipe. It's also amazing.

Re: My green tea, coconut topical and green juicing progress
2 months ago I added the smoothie to my regimen that's like 5 out of the top 6 plus more and have noticed no difference in my shedding. I only did the juice/smoothie cuz Sage claimed (small) regrowth after 1 month of just that. Inflammation is mostly down but I attribute that to other things. I think having people with results is nice to know but it's almost equally important to know the ratio of result/noresult. If 500 guys tried this and only 3 got any kind of decent results would you still allocate your time/money toward it?
People like Sage, who try things not expecting hair growth to be a result of what they're doing are great to try to copy cuz they're generally more reliable in assessing real results, but not all reigmens will work with all bodies. Although, who knows, maybe it'll take 6+ months before people like myself see results? Not holding out for it, but I like the smoothie for breakfast so I have no problem continuing.

JAk inhibitor
Hi Guys dont know if this has been posted before but there was article on JAK1/2 Inhibitor effect on Alopecia Areata
Green tea with ECGC (which is the main ingredient in the topical ) inhibits JAK, pub med article also mentions Quercetin as inhibitor as well.
Some other JAK inhibitors I found on pubmed: Thymoquinone which comes from black cumin oil, American ginseng, Ginseng Saponin Metabolite Rh3,Tulsi and Chitrak.
Sorry I am a new member so I cant post any links for 7 days, but a google search will provide all the info.
So I am wondering if combining green tea with querecetin and ginseng and other herbs will produce even more potent topical

I'm not sure what querecetin is but I hear good things about ginseng, and it's really simple to add stuff to this topical, so give it a shot

Re: My green tea, coconut topical and green juicing progress
My topical change with simplifying the oils and heating the green tea, Pau D'Arco tea definitely boosted my regrowth.
But keep in mind that i green juice cucumber, celery, spinach at least 4 times a week by drinking it directly due to the enzyme progress. (Really recommended to get a masticating juicer )
I´m doing something that works for me, but the green juicing is also perfect for my health.
Still i don´t believe in supplements or drugs for hair loss , since it´s not a cure rather a treatment.

Jesus man...Thanks for continuing to provide hope to us, and it just gets better with every picture, lol
But one question, how do you handle the high amounts of iron in chlorella etc.? I have high iron levels in my blood so I'm going to start donating (even though I'm terrified about it).

My body got used to it and that's it probably.
As long as you feed your body with natural resources, then it knows how to handle it unlike supplements.
Have to admit it was quiet harsh with the green juicing in the beginning, but my body adjusted in a good way since it cleansed my whole system, and now it´s just simple routine for my body.

Amazing topic, I too believe that juicing with organic veggies and fruits will do wonders not only for your hair, but mainly to your health.
But did Sage 1 ever had androgenic alopecia?

Sage 1 wrote:Hi to you all, and i have to admit i missed this forum
I´m glad that some of you are seeing at least some results.
Did some changes with the base by using 2,5 dl pumpkin seed oil and 2,5 dl olive oil poured in a bowl.
I put 5 tea bags of green (matcha) tea and a big handful of Pau D'Arco (lapacho tea) in it.
Let it simmer warm (not boil!) for at least 15 minutes and use a filter to pour it a air tight glass jar for easy usage and keep in the fridge..
So my topical is, 3 tsp of the oil mentioned above, and then i use my pastel to grind one tea bag of green tea, and about 10 leaves of fresh coriander, and stir with the oil. (as usual)
Then i add 1 tsp coconut oil, 3 tsp of fresh coconut milk and 3 tsp of dr. bronners soap, and stir again.
Leave it in for 30 minutes, and rinse it of with lukewarm water, and nowadays a i use an organic (non SLS, parabene) shampoo to rinse the rest of instead of the same bronners soap added in the mixture.
It boosted my hair and i drink 2 tsp of chlorella, spirulina powder every morning
First of all thanks for taking the time to share your success story.
I recently started doing something similar before I saw your post and now I'm considering to swap over to your remedy. I have been doing green smoothies with similar ingredients to you and daily head massage with mix of organic coconut/emu/castor/infused Indian gooseberry oil. Hair feels clean and stronger but can't speak of new growth as early days for me. Certainly no big fallouts.
I have questions if you would be kind enough to answer.
- I have not got on well in past with olive oil hair massages - can I substitue this with organic coconut/almond oil or some other ? Or Is it essential part of the mix rather than simply another carrier oil ? Also which olive oil are you using organic/refined/Virgin ?
- You removed castor oil from you mix. Any particular reason ?
- Can you keep the coconut milk for long once opened ? I'm guessing lot of wastage.
- Do you apply the mix to all of your head or jus work on areas that you feel need attention the most ?

Re: My green tea, coconut topical and green juicing progress
For you that still believes in this treatment that had disappointing result.
As an option you can skip the dr.bronner soap in the remedy, and leave the treatment on your scalp without a cap for at least 2 hours.
It will oxide a lot quicker and it "penetrates" the scalp easier this way.

Re: My green tea, coconut topical and green juicing progress
My recipe was an easy to use one, with a soap to lather on the scalp to stay in place.
If you have patience though, leave out the soap and use the same ingredients as mentioned before.
Use for example flax oil on your scalp first, it moistens the hair and skin for easier penetration.
Put the remedy on without a cap and leave it for at least 2 hours or more. (until the remedy is dry on the scalp, and hair)
It will run a little in the beginning, but just use paper to cleanse it off your forehead.
I think we are over doing it, and the below link made me think why not using it topically.

I'm fully behind the logic of your method and thank you for sharing it.
Before I jump in deep can you please clarify if you now believe best results are attained from using your original mix with soap, shower cap and left for half hour or no soap and left in for two hours to dry ?
EMU oil good alternative to flax seed oil ?

Hey Sage, not sure if you received my reply PM. If you do get a moment, please let me know. Thanks so much.
Curious about above posters questions as well as:
Do you think olive oil is essential to the results?
I still use a coffee grinder. Do you believe a mortar/pestle is needed for results?
Basically, what would you say are the **critical** ingredients?

Re: My green tea, coconut topical and green juicing progress
The oils are only carriers.
I was wondering why some get results, and others don´t, and i actually added fresh rosemary in my remedy as (CS mentioned the natures answer to minox, you can correct me if i´m wrong) for a month.
It increases the blood circulation, and the green tea antioxidant, Pau D'Arco tea anti fungal, and of course cilantro, coconut milk with their high nutrition values.

Re: My green tea, coconut topical and green juicing progress
Am still a bit confused mr sage. 3 questions:
1) To make things more simple: Could you please state what you believe to be the *critical* regrowth ingredients?
2) I thought coconut oil was essential, as it was part of the original recipe you found online?
3) By what you mentioned, am I correct in thinking that you dont believe olive oil to be an essential ingredient?
Thanks much for the feedback!
P.S: also if you get a chance, please let me know if you got my PM from awhile ago. Thanks!

That's interesting about the Rosemary, I used to make rosemary tea months ago (I basically just heaped a ton of rosemary leaves into boiling water, let it cool, added some lemon and drank it). It tastes like grass, but I tolerated it. Maybe I'll start doing that again.
I'm sure internally it does at least SOME good (for hair). It must have numerous unrelated health benefits.
I used to spray my hair with the same concoction as well but found it sort of dried it out, so I just stopped. aybe I should start that again too...
I wonder though, most places mention rosemary oil, and not simply the tea, can I get a similar effect (maybe just diminished) by simply brewing rosemary tea and applying it topically to my face?
