The Stupid Fluoride Agenda
Found this today while reading the news... I have no words. Anything to push a higher deceptive agenda. I'd like to meet this "Preventative Services Task Force" and give them a piece of my fist. (Does CS have any fun acronym for these guys?)

Re: The Stupid Fluoride Agenda
Some people say that the negative effects of fluoride have not been proven.
To which I say: "neither have the beneficial ones, which means you have no f**king business putting it in there".
Thankfully I live in a country where water has never been fluoridated but I feel for all the people who have to put up with this shit. At this point this is equivalent to straight up poisoning, since there is no scientific basis to keep adding fluoride into the water. There should be hundreds if not thousands of people going to jail. Someone needs to stand the f*** up.

Benefits of Fluoridation
Water fluoridation prevents tooth decay mainly by providing teeth with frequent contact with low levels of fluoride throughout each day and throughout life. Even today, with other available sources of fluoride, studies show that water fluoridation reduces tooth decay by about 25 percent over a person's lifetime.
Community water fluoridation is not only safe and effective, but it is also cost-saving and the least expensive way to deliver the benefits of fluoride to all residents of a community. For larger communities of more than 20,000 people, it costs about 50 cents per person to fluoridate the water. It is also cost-effective because every $1 invested in this preventive measure yields approximately $38 savings in dental treatment costs.
This method of fluoride delivery benefits all people―regardless of age, income, education, or socioeconomic status. A person's income and ability to get routine dental care are not barriers since all residents of a community can enjoy fluoride's protective benefits just by drinking tap water and consuming foods and beverages prepared with it.
Fluoride from other sources prevents tooth decay as well, whether from toothpaste, mouth rinses, professionally applied fluoride treatments, or prescription fluoride supplements. These methods of delivering fluoride, however, are more costly than water fluoridation and require a conscious decision to use them.

So a 15 year old article written by dentists is the best you can come up with?

Re: The Stupid Fluoride Agenda
I dont understand their rationale. if they are so sure its beneficial, then why not let ppl just buy the stuff. anyone who wants it can buy toothpaste and mouthwash, and have all the fluoride they want.
If it is beneficial (which i dont believe but anyway) then it just has to make contact with the teeth for remineralization, it doesnt need to go down to the stomach and cause untold problems.
I mean if the government wants to medicate us because apparently we are not responsible to do it ourselves, then why stop at fluoride. lets all have antidepressants, statins, ace inhibitors ,sedatives, in our water supply, and lets just ban all vitamins. then we will all be healthy.
while there at it, why not just make a food paste with everything the government tells us we need, and lets all eat that. medicated water, and food paste. no need for anything else. no need for any free thinking.

Re: The Stupid Fluoride Agenda
it doesn't matter if fluoride is beneficial or not. no one should be medicated without their consent, period. people don't react the same to anything. no chemicals are safe for everyone. it's fucked

Re: The Stupid Fluoride Agenda
The toxicology of fluoride is beyond proven.
How these people can confidently defending fluoride is just as absurd as dentists who defend the placement of mercury.
For those who have difficulty disconnecting the financial dots, here's a few reasons why fluoride should be avoided.
Anyone interested in their health should avoid fluoride because:
Fluoride rapidly and transiently raises intracellular calcium, that means glandular tissue as well. It increases the transport of aluminium into the brain as well.
Osteosarcoma (bone cancer)
Arthritis
Hypothalamus derangement.
Causes brittle bones and teeth.
Fluoride doesn't strengthen teeth, it hardens the teeth, causing brittle teeth. Who wants yellowish/brown teeth/dental fluorosis?
Fluoride lowers IQ
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/features/fluoride-childrens-health-grandjean-choi/
Want stronger teeth? Taking silca/silicon and vitamin K2. Getting plenty of vitamin D (or sun exposure).

I'd add xylitol to the list. And gelatin (Great Lakes is best - grass-fed).

Re: The Stupid Fluoride Agenda
Tough call. I use both
Silica/silicon is great for teeth. Makes for more flexible bone also.
Sulfur helps keep the inflammation away.

This one I often use because it is frequently in stock, and it is reasonable in price compared to the
capsuled versions.

Well, I'm not CS, but I recommend World Organics brand Silica 500. Take it myself. Reviews on Amazon all positive.

Diatomaceous earth (food grade) is a good source also.

You know what else is beneficial for tooth decay? Teaching your children good dental hygiene from the beginning.
Speaking of hygiene, I just started using a new toothpaste called Earthpaste. http://www.earthpaste.com/
Its brown, does not foam, and actually tastes pretty good. My teeth tend to feel cleaner for a few hours longer than normal without that sheen teeth get on them by the end of the day.
Ingredients: Hydrated Redmond Clay, added essential oils, Real Salt, and xylitol.

I discovered Earthpaste myself a few months ago... it's great stuff. Started with the cinnamon, it was alright, but I find the wintergreen is very effective for me. It makes your mouth feel stronger and lasts the whole day which I love too. Well worth the price.

Odysseus, I want to send you some fluoride pills so you can prove how safe it is.
http://www.amazon.com/Florical-Calcium-Fluoride-supplements-Industries/dp/B000M4C5TS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416507607&sr=8-1&keywords=fluoride+pills
Get a fluoride blood test now, then after 1 year of taking fluoride pills to prove to us that ingesting fluoride is safe.
