dermarolling vs violet ray

Hello.
my current regime is scalp kneading 4 times a day for 5minutes
scalp exercises throughout the day
holding my scalp loose for 30mins twice a day
and I want to introduce one more thing
I have long hair so last time i tried dermarolling the brush pulled alot of hairs out. I have ordered a violet ray about 2 weeks ago from huse but they are having problems with the christmas rush so havent recieved it yet. my understanding is that both help with inflamation, blood circulation. my question is, are they similar devices
i really hope violet ray is the dogs bollocks
