Skull sutures dont fuse until adulthood
It seems as if the skull can change shape in adulthood as the sutures have not completely fused until your thirties.

Having started doing detumescence I noticed my skull shape a lot more and I am able to flatten slightly the pointed peak at the crown as it appears there is a build up of tissue, I am starting to wonder if this fusion process of the sutures play a part for those of us who think their skull may be expanding in the mpb areas. It seems possible people with a point on their skull may have this due to the bones in the skull fusing unevenly that stretches the skin/capillaries in the scalp. Do other people here have this pointed crown and if so is it accompanied by other mild symptoms of craniosystosis ie bulging around the hairline/ saddle shaped head?
Perhaps the "head reshaping" mentioned in the detu study if it even legit is the manipulation of the skull fusion points to a shape more conducive the hair growth.

I think you answered your own question at the beginning
But yea... I don't think sutures fuse until old age due to calcification.

I definitely think there's truth to this because I remember when I started some computer programming course many years ago, but it was so complex that I began getting bad headaches because my brain was just overloaded with info. Within just two weeks of immense mental stress I actually noticed that my head size had increased (I wasn't the only one who noticed this either). So I abandoned the course and my head size began to gradually shrink to it's normal size.
I don't precisely know why this happened other than the possibility that my brain began to retain more water, possibly to help it cool down faster due to being overworked and overheated.
I remember discussing this with someone who was an MD, but they said that it is impossible as the suture lines would have fused together a long time ago. But I remained unconvinced by his opinion.
I think that the collagenous connective tissue between the sutures (Sharpey's fibres) allow expansion of cranial bones in response to brain swelling or growth.
