When to take Vit C while chelating?

I'm on about 18mg of Iosol and 200mg of selenium daily, about to add humifulvate and vitamin C. I've read conflicting information about when to take the vitamin C. Some recommend away from food, some right after. Any suggestion as to when and how much?

1 to 3 grams for general use (Vitamin C), away from food. For short term detoxification, amounts of C can be higher, say 3 to 10 grams.

Here's one at twice the strength. 1,000 mg. Same brand and company, just higher dosage.
I opted for this one myself as I have always looked for and taken the 1000mg ones. Made it easier for me to swallow only 1 pill rather than two.

yes...because i'm wondering why not buy http://longevityplus.com/products/longevity-plus-brand/bio-enr-gy-c and use half a teaspoon a day of this, dr Gordon keeps saying it's the best and most absorbable vit C on the market...although i haven't seen him actually proving it in any way!
