Desperate to Increase SHBG Empty Desperate to Increase SHBG

Post  ViolatedBird Sun Jan 01, 2012 10:06 pm

My SHBG is still in the dumps, despite the inclusion of green tea extract and soy isoflavones into my supplement regimen. My current regimen includes the top list of the Immortal Hair regimen.

My latest blood tests also reveal elevated DHEA-S, low pregenelone, low ACTH -- but high-normal cortisol, a much less than optimal triglyceride panel, 1.8 TSH despite normal T3 and T3, and low testosterone plus low SHBG.

All of these hormonal issues have plagued me since I was a teenager. They are not due to diet or age. They're all genetic. The low SHBG left me with hair loss despite the clinically low testosterone in my teenage years. (Low for any age, but ESPECIALLY my age.) Following the poor lab values on paper are extremely compromised erectile function, zero libido, depression and hair loss.

I'm really stuck on ways to force SHBG to increase. Any ideas?
