Empty Stomach Supplements
I've recently had an increased number of supplements that require taking on an empty stomach. The only one that I used to have to find time for before was Lugols but now there's also Tyrosine and Serrapeptase.
Im wondering if I can take them all at once instead of what Im currently doing which is taking Tyrosine during the day, waiting half an hour then Lugols; and Serra just before bed.

Re: Empty Stomach Supplements
Take all empty stomach supps together, no general reason to go one by one...as long as you can stomach it and does not give you grief - your tummy will tell you if it does.
The issue is of wastage as well, as such I usually look to see what is the best form to take a supp, and then if there are any cofactors (vitamins, minerals) and anything that may interfere. You really have to research one supp at a time, this is a full time job man...

Re: Empty Stomach Supplements
Thanks lund. Even though I listed serrapeptase, I actually cared most about wether tyrosine and lugols could be ingested at the same time. I know better than to take serra and somethig else at the same time since this would impair greatly the function of the enzymes.
IH - do you see a reason why I shouldn't take tyrosine and lugols together?
Thanks.

Re: Empty Stomach Supplements
zerx - Can't think of any interactions that would make taking the both at odds with each other.
Re: Empty Stomach Supplements
I am not sure if I follow the theory not to take anything else with Serrapeptase. There is stuff in your gut / intestine all the time from previous intakes, acid, etc - it is not that you are ever by yourself in complete isolation there.
I take my serra with all other items I need to take on empty stomach (all my amino stack including ALA), I hope I am not blowing the serrapeptase capsules away...of course one can be more careful and if you can stagger supps around you may be doing some good - the question is, is it needed?
