Massive Shed

I am shedding like crazy for the past few days and I have a really itchy scalp.
The only change I have made is that I haven't eaten any bread for 10 days or so.
Would this be likely to cause such a shed?
Are there any nutrients/vitamins etc I am missing because of this?

No, that would be more than unlikly!
