Hear of this? It came highly recommended from someone I know who works in mental health:
http://www.ultramind.com/

I looked online and saw the reviews varied greatly. There is an interesting discussion here, started by someone who was opposed to the theories set forward in the book:

edit: I deleted my original reply because I didn't realize the book was physiological and not psycho-therapeutic. As far as methylation goes IME if his theories are similar to those of Abram Hoffer (orthomolecular psychology), I haven't been personally able to fit neatly into those boxes (categories) of over/under-methylation. There's a book called Depression Free Naturally which I thought would be really promising but ended up leaving more questions than answers. This was after lab testing! I gave up on it, and I've read posts from others who've had similar problems with the cut and dry, black and white theory. I really wanted there to be some results, so it wasn't from pessimism or skepticism. If anything I was trying to make the facts match the theories as much as I could. I nearly drove myself crazy trying to fit into this or that category and wondering why I wasn't.

I’ve viewed Dr. Hyman’s videos in the past and mostly like his fundamentals. Though I haven’t a clue what his Ultramind entails.

For enhancing general intelligence, a good start might be body detoxification also decalcifying the pineal gland with iodine and colloidal gold.

Increase the brain’s electrical capacity with colloidal silver and electromagnetic devices, including anion generators and earthing. Increase glial cell maintenance and production by feeding the brain more acetylcholine and royal jelly. Perhaps some NGF or forskolin eye drops.

The number one supplement for overall inflammation would be holy basil, Omega 3’s for overall brain inflammation. Let the body find its own hormonal homeostasis with pregnenolone.

For those suffering mental health issues: acetylcholine, GABA, serotonin, tyrosine, melatonin and mixed B vitamins. Increasing methylation with something like TMG is especially important as we become aged.
