Lugols Solution or Iosol? Which one should we take??

I currently use Lugols 5% but noticed others are taking Iosol...So which one is it that is recommended for us to take or does it not matter?

Lugol's 5% is most ideal for an economic source of high potency iodine.

Iosol is a weaker form, however it is a good way to start with iodine if you're first introducing it. It's only 1.8 milligrams
per drop.

Lugol's 5% is 6.25 milligrams per drop.

hi CS,

is this confirmed? 1 drop iosol is 1.8mg and 1 drop of lugol's 5% is 6.25mg?

i just read that 1000 mcg = 1mg?

I use 12% solution, which makes 15mg per drop. I take 3 drops a day.

I bought the 15% one over a year ago, I swear it didn't taste as strong as Iosol did but I had never used Iosol before, so I might have got used to it by then. I haven't used iodine in about a year though.

I've used both, and while both are great I ended up using up my Iosol very quickly and it became costly so I switched to Lugols. I take a rather large amount daily compared maybe to most, just based on preference, and also use it for other purpouses such as stretch marks, moles, and other skin issues.

ebay source, one of many.

from iodine/iodide sources i've tried KELP from Now, Iosol and Lugol's solution so far. I switched to Lugol's because it's cheaper.

Iosol feels stronger, i speculate it's due Ammonium Iodide, which is also find inside. I've also noticed it. It feels more oily too...
