Freeze away moles?

Why can't I use a product like DrScholl's Freeze Away for warts(1 freezing application and in couple of weeks wart falls off) on small moles that keep popping out? If not, is there a product that I can use w/o having to go to a dermatologist and having them burned off?

Ramjet - Based on what I've heard, Dr. Scholl's Freeze away is not very effective, and that's for warts. There's a better method for warts anyway.

I know one method you can do at home, just have to be careful. Go to a meat market/liquor store or anyplace that sells Dry Ice.

Break it into a piece you can hold firmly, with a glove (to protect yourself).

If the mole is in a spot that's hard to get to, have someone else do this, where you have a corner of the dry ice touch the mole for 15 second to 30 second bursts, just a minute apart. It will sting of course, and being careful not to let it sit on the mole too long, because the frost may end up affecting the layers of skin beneath the mole. These layers may get a little pink which is okay.

The next day, the mole will probably appear completely black, while during application it should be dark red. Assuming it's completely black the next day, it will fall off within a week.

I've gotten rid of moles using blood root.

Scratch the mole with a needle all over then apply blood root paste for a couple days til it scabs over. Within a week the mole will fall off and leave a pink crater in your skin.

However, they don't heal well at all for me. I get a raised scar to replace the mole, which is often larger. Not sure how to stop that.

IH-- So you're saying 15 to 30 second burts, 60 seconds apart, and do 2 bursts, 3?, 4?.

Ramjet - There's really no exact technique, just wing it. What I suggested can be done in any manner.

It could take several contacts with dry ice until frostbite of the mole has been achieved.

as a kid i had a wart and against my will they burnt it away, leaving a scar.

then i had another wart elsewhere and i froze it on my own with liquid nitrogen and it came off nicely leaving no scar.

now, ironically, i don't even remember where the second wart was... because it left no signs. but several years later, a new wart grew exactly on top of the scar for the first wart...

do you think it is the same wart that came back?

and either way, how would you tackle it? do i have any hope that if i freeze it and the skin comes off like the other time, even the scar would fall off and new healthy tissue would replace it? i guess it's unlikely because scars are very stubborn... but if there's any trick i can use while at this, please let me know...

I had a wart and freezing with nitrogen didn't help, but I had only one session so.....
I would simply go to the hospital and let it be cut it away, scars can be greatly reduced with sski, raised scars with a mix of sski and dmso.

freezing worked very well for me in just one session. maybe you froze it for too short of a time? the trick is to get a blister that falls off in a week's time, lifting the wart away from your flesh and dropping with it...

the thing i am surprised about this new wart is that it's right in the middle of the 15+ years old scar from my old wart that was burnt (not frozen!).

the only reason i would go to a hospital is if there are chances that this little round tumor is something else than a wart... i haven't been windsurfing or going to a swimming pool for a very long time so it's kind of surprising...

this wart grown over a scar is driving me crazy. neither liquid nitrogen nor 17% salicylic acid would do anything to it :'(

Give iodine a shot and let us know what happens. I used it for a bunch of moles and it did the job.

I have no idea. I used 2.2% lugol's on the moles but I've heard of iodine working with skin tags and all types of skin issues. Apply it regularly and see what happens.

but how would i get rid of the HPV that is causing the wart?

does it ever clear?

i started taking BHT, but the bottle's directions say to open a capsule and add it to a given amount of oil that doesn't already have BHT. so basically they are pretending that they don't know that people are consuming it as a supplement. is it so dangerous???

Potassium iodide doesn't work for moles......lugols 2,2% is what you're looking for.

also, Dr. Pickart seems to imply that too many antioxidants (BHT being one of them) would impair our immune system capacity against viruses:

Our goal should be to suppress excessive free radicals but not totally shut down free radical production since free radicals are used to make our body's energy and are used by immune cells to kill bacteria, viruses, and cancer cells

so, why is BHT suggested against warts?

how about i mix BHT in my topical Iosol bottle?

also, shall I mix in my pureway-C or not? and can i mix it directly in the bottle as well or it'll render the whole thing unstable?

i notice that iosol stains and burns my skin heavily... it renders it like a piece of cardboard.

iosol+pureway-C doesn't do that. it doesn't stain and it doesn't "burn". so that i was even as brave as to applying it on my temples the nights before a working day would this combination still stimulate tissue regeneration from the bottom up?

Anyone know if BHT can cause cancer? I seem to be reading conflicting reports on it.
