Mastery - CLA is a case where supplements are inferior to food. The benefits of CLA only appear when they are naturally occurring in grass-fed products, such as milk and beef. CLA supplements on the other hand, do not appear to have any real benefit. Also, they may cause problems.

As an aside, I have incrased my chelation supplements broadly along the paradigm of Action Reaction's & jdp's thinking - and almost no hairs on pillow now. I am beginning to be increasing convinced that what I have often suggested but not in as much detail as jdp & A>R are getting into - that xenobiotiocs (heavy metals and ther pollutants) and resulting pathogenic activity is one of the most fundamental root causes of organ degredation or resulting suboptimaility of human functioning and, hence, resulting hair loss.

This only reinforces all your most beneficial thinking about the critical importance of diet and supplements.

Mastery - Yes, and one way to look at it is that the removal of heavy metals means significantly less oxidative stress and chronic inflammation. Also, the exogenous antioxidants taken become much more powerful.

Presumably also, opportunistic organisms, yeast, fungus, etc will have fewer areas to thrive upon.
