Chelation Newb ... Question for Expert Empty Chelation Newb ... Question for Expert

Post  itzmecorey Thu Mar 03, 2011 7:53 am

Hey guys... I am very healthy now and have been using this site for a while as a guest and recently signed up. I am VERYYY confused about the metal chelation thing...

Small background... I smoked and drank for many years and im 24 now... eat healthy and workout regularly...

I was wondering a easy less intensive way to remove metals from someone who smoked and lives in a rural area... I always ate fairly healthy, but heavy

Im 5'11 160 good muscle... Just want to do a quick one pill a day to remove most metal things without screwing up my thyroid or hormones at all! whats a good way?

One pill a day for chelation is not going to get you any results in any sort of realistic time frame, but that's up to you, if you feel you are in good health you shouldn't have any adverse reactions to chelation ... Iodine, Selenemethionine, Modified Citrus Pectin, and Humifulvate should take care of you for a nice while until you either feel done with it or want to get deeper into health.

I have a thread on here regarding most of the details and common chelation questions, should be somewhere on the first page of the forum or easily found through my profile.

If you want to screw up your thyroid be sure not to supplement with iodine......

Iodine chelates out a lot, but much more when used with other chelators.

There is potential detoxification side-effects with iodine.

However, iodine should not be ignored, because 96% of the population is deficient in iodine.

To use iodine more safely refer to this:

https://immortalhair.forumotion.com/t3369-iodine-supplementation-protocol-salt-loading

Also in the case of rare hyper or hypothyroidism, this is what Dr. David Brownstein says about this:

During the rare and temporary hypothyroid state with iodine:

"When animals or humans that are iodine deficient are given large doses of iodine, there is a TRANSIENT DECREASE in thyroid hormone production (approximately 26-40 hrs.) until the body re-establishes its equilibrium with iodine. After that, thyroid levels adjust to normal and signs of hypothyroid do not develop."

During the rare and temporary Iodine induced hyperthyroidism:

"The use of iodine in a previously iodine-deficient population may result in a TRANSIENT INCREASE in thyroid hormones...Studies have shown that the increase in thyroid hormones, which could lead to hyperthyroid symptoms (palpitations, nervousness), will gradually decrease. This can be monitored with lab tests & adjustments in dosage."

During iodinism or really bromide-ism

"When the dose of iodine is too high...results in metallic taste in mouth, increased salivation, sneezing, headache & acne...frontal headache...fever...adjust dosage down."

Enough said, Iodine is good stuff, after working into it the more I take the better I feel. In fact, I'm drinking some right now.

You need to do 3 months of DMSA before starting with ALA http://onibasu.com/wiki/Cutler_protocol#The_3_month_rule

Here is the dosage recommendations http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/Andy_dose_sched.html

General chelation advice http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1290731#i

Also for hairloss you can detox thallium while at it, here is how it's done http://onibasu.com/archives/am/130725.html
