Decalcification regimen
I was wondering what the consensus is for the most important decalcification agents... I am trying to narrow things down.
1. What are the top 3 or 4 items we should be taking orally to deal with calcification?
2. What might be some good topicals to add for helping with this?
Any recommendations?

Hey Unfortunate!
I'm working up a viable, affordable, and easy to understand regimen in my topic everyday, I'm getting closer, but to start...
Cut out all sugar, including fruit (temporary depending on how hard you work at first)
Eat garlic, lots of garlic (not sure if odorless capsules work, they should).
Work at getting some MSM, start around 3000mg a day, and work up to 7500mg.
Topicals are still the same, bromelain and some sort of oil that will penetrate the skin well.

Vitamin K
"A study has found vitamin K not only blocks new arterial calcium buildup but can also reduce existing levels of calcification by 37 percent. Researchers at Maastricht University published their findings in the April 1st issue of Blood, the journal of the American Society of Hematology."

Haha, yes indeed, if you could get enough cabbage and a juicer that could take care of our K2 needs.

Re: Decalcification regimen
Thanks for the advice guys... A couple of questions?
What brand would you recommend for the msm and K2? As well as the topical bromelain? Any links?
I am still taking the recommended D3 + K2 from Immortals regimen as well as msm - but not nearly 7.5 Grams a day. LOL that seems like a lot - any potential sides from that?
I currently use lily of the desert aloe vera - it kills inflammation big time but dunno what it does for de-cal. Anyway, do magnesium and iodine help with de-cal as well?

I strongly recommend you take it in a v-cap, the taste is far less than pleasant.

I would like to try using bromelain/papain powder topically, but I'm concerned that the proteolytic enzymes will be detrimental to the hair (largely composed of protein) itself? I think we need to be careful here, maybe a low concentration with infrequent application?

Yes, from all I've ever read on this site, go slow, go gentle.

Re: Decalcification regimen
Regarding K2 I think I may order some of this soon:
http://www.iherb.com/life-enhancement-dr-jonathan-wright-s-probone-o-drops-plus-2-fl-oz-60-ml/9531?at=0
Apparently it tastes bad but it might be worth it for better absorption. I got the link from TK who has reported a pretty big improvement in his calcification (although he's using quite a bit else too). I noticed it seems to be from the same Dr who made/sells Wright Salt.

Cabbage and other vegetables only contain K1, not K2. K2 has to be in the form of MK-7, 8 or -9 in order to reach the blood stream (beyond the liver). Also the half-life is up to 72 hours.
However, I did find that MK-4 appeared to work topically (such as the Bone drops).

Is menaquinone considered the right kind of K2?

Re: Decalcification regimen
cassanova - Fermented soy is the only source of MK-7. However, you can get MK-8 and -9 from fermented cheeses.
Unless you're completely allergic to soy, wouldn't worry about it.
unfortunate - Menaquinone is generally superior to K1. K1 can be converted into MK-4, although its limiations are reaching the liver only not the bloodstream.
The best forms of menaquinone are 7, 8 and -9.

Re: Decalcification regimen
Do you know what kind of K2 kefir has and what about all the other fermented foods(sauerkraut, pickles and I've never heard of kimchi until today lol) besides natto supposedly they have K2 too? Found this on Dr. Weil's site
Vitamin K2 is either found in animal organ meats (note organ meat vs just meat - so that sausage that is eaten in Greece or France nearly daily is a great food with lots of K2) or it is made by bacteria. The bacteria that make hard cheeses are the "guys" that make the longer-chain menaquinones (vitamin K2 with side chains 4 or longer), also other fermented foods are high in menaquinones (like kefir, sauerkraut, pickles, natto, kimchi) and can provide K2 with side chains from 5-14 side links.

Re: Decalcification regimen
So would a heavy metal detoxification regimen include de-calcification as wel?
I am thinking of using a 30 day heavy metal detoxification kit - I've seen them at the health food store.
