I have my blood test results :)
erm ok,
Blood glucose (almost fasting, as they didn't ask me to fast but I'd barely eaten in the 8 hours beforehand anyway) - 5.6
(this seems a little high as the accepted max is 5.8, I'll improve my diet and try to stress less)
Free T4 - 16 (probably ok, I don't know)
TSH - 3.5 (apparently this is high, so I will be looking into my thyroid further)
White blood cell - 8 10*9/L
Red blood cell - 4.8 10*12L
Haemoglobin - 14.3 g/dL
Mean corpisc. haemoglobin - 29.8 pg
Apparently RBC and stuff is a bit low, I know it sounds odd for a guy but I think I need more red meat / iron. I don't eat anywhere near enough, in fact, I eat next to none. This may explain why I've been fainting and feeling dizzy more in the last few years.
Anything else that is helpful?
Basically, lots to think about. My main current plan is - check thyroid more, reduce stress, get more meat/iron, and eat a better diet to allow my blood sugar / insulin to calm down (does it work like this?)
It's all mild, but I'd rather know sooner than later, I would like to hear if people have opinions or anything else that would be useful to have (the results were obviously much longer but I've just highlighted things that seemed important).

Re: I have my blood test results :)
Hoppipolla - Your TSH is high (which you already know).
If you find yourself getting dizzy frequently, probably means you have adrenal fatigue (possibly). Perhaps more meat and fat will be good for you.
Also, make sure you optimizing your vitamin D levels, this will also improve your iron situation.

Re: I have my blood test results :)
Thank you CS
Apparently my TSH indicates hypothyroid, as I suspected before, is that true?
Thing is I mean, I know my health isn't terrible or anything, it's just that I agree with you that things like hair loss are almost like a warning sign that something might be wrong. Maybe not quite for everyone depending on sensitivity, but for many perhaps!
I have decided to listen to my body

Re: I have my blood test results :)
Oh, additionally, my friend has Hashimoto's and I'm concerned about her. Do you know anything that might help? She is already on standard meds for it ._.
Re: I have my blood test results :)
Hoppipolla - Have her buy Dr. David Brownstein's book, "Iodine, why you need it, why you cannot live without it."
The reason is that the information contained it it will give her the knowledge to go against the bad advise she may receive from her physician.

Re: I have my blood test results :)
Hmm thats interesting, because things seemed to say that anything like that could aggravate the situation almost by "putting fuel on the fire".. I'm sure I'll find a moment to read about it myself and find out but - does iodine really help with these thyroid autoimmune disorders?
Re: I have my blood test results :)
Hoppipolla - Here's some excellent information about iodine, and some of it covers autoimmune thyroid diseases.
Yes, iodine is good. Those with autoimmune thyroid have an even greater deficiency of iodine than others.

Re: I have my blood test results :)
well, she is not quite buying it atm hehe But I will definitely have a watch, because also there is a good chance it will affect me.
Thing is, I don't wanna be on tablets like FOREVER necessarily, so I would really like to fix my thyroid for good if I possibly can, and things like iodine, nutrients and herbs seem much closer to achieving that than just taking thyroid hormones. I mean I still have a fair bit too learn, but I want to go for an approach that enriches my thyroid and corrects my thyroid hormone resistance if I possibly can

Re: I have my blood test results :)
Hoppipolla - Supplementation with iodine and selenium is all that is necessary for thyroid unless one has had a more severe thyroid problems.
After that it will help to remove some causes of thyroid problems if identified.
