Hey guy I just received my Blood and Salvia/Urin Test cause I´m suffering from prety nasty depression and insomnia as well as general burn out feeling.
I´m 28 BMI20,7
Here it is:

Cortisol(8:00) 1,39ug/dl
Cortisol(12:00) 0,13ug/dl
Cortisol(20:00) 0,14ug/dl
DHEA (8:00) 432pg/ml
DHEA(20:00) 94,8pg/ml


Adrenalin 16,4 ug/gKreatinin
Noradrenalin 53,2 ug/gKreatinin
NA/A ratio 3,2
Dopamin 127 ug/gKreatinin
Serotonin 72,8 ug/gKreatinin


In addition I´ve to less zinc, vit D and to high Ferritin2 167,1ng/ml levels. Other parameters like thiorid hormones etc are all in the normal range.

The doc told me that mydaily cortisol patern is not good, too high Adrenalin and to low dopamin and serotonin, so in conclusion a strong neurotransmitter problem.
He adviced me too take a lot off stuff, like 5htp and so on.
I wanted to ask what you would advice me to take cause all his stuff is prety expensive, and I now here are a lot of guys around, who know a lot of thnings.

A what I foregt to mention is my Leukozytes are alwasy very low around 3600 Gpt/l,aswell my hämoglobin 14,3g/dl and very low hämatokrit 41%.
I´ve no idea what that could be???
Cholesterin levels are alo high 252mg/dl although I don´t think my diet is too bad..

tao81 - Did you say your vitamin D levels were low?

If so, Vitamin D increases expression of the tyrosine hydroxylase gene in adrenal medullary cells, which may increase brain serotonin levels.

If your Hemoglobin is low, Vitamin D may also boost this up. Additionally, Vitamin D diminishes the turnover of leukocytes, meaning that raising it may have a positive effect.

A low hematocrit reading may indicate anemia, however only if your iron count and ferritin are low, which if I read correctly are not.

This is more evidence to suggest that you need more vitamin D.

You may also benefit from Sensoril (Ashwaganda) to help normalize your testosterone to cortisol ratio.

Your cholesterol level is not really bad. However, I wonder what the fractions are, such as HDL.

Standard thyroid tests are usually meaningless.

I second CS a thousand times on thyroid blood tests! Posting your T4 and TSH, and maybe T3 and antibodies if you have them might be useful, if you'd like to Smile

Stress, yeah man I hear you. I'm the same.

A combo I'm considering involves adequate magnesium and vitamin C (and optionally B-vits), and also some kind of combo of ashwagandha (Sensoril), schisandra and possibly kava-kava tea, or similar. This should help my stress and cortisol levels to calm down and normalize nicely!

CS, sorry but, do you have any idea whether combining ash, schisandra and kava kava is ok? It just seemed like a REALLY potent combo! lol

But yeah, other than that, eat a good diet as that decreases cortisol, do a bit of light exercise if you can, and just try to do things that relax you (without toooo much of an alcohol or like, marijuana focus!! hehe Smile). I am trying to make lifestyle changes and things if at all possible, but of course it's always a little tricky Smile

Oh, warning, I believe ash and schisandra both give the thyroid a nudge up, so if you find you were hyperthyroid, for example, I would be careful, or if you don't want to tempt it to go high, then I would advise just a little bit of caution.

I chose them purposefully because they encourage the thyroid a little, and kava because it doesn't have the same mild thyroid suppressive effect that herbal sedatives apparently do.

But yes, enough from me lol Very Happy

Hoppipolla - Would be no problem combining these. Schisandra and Ashwagandha are both balancers (adaptogens) and are excellent for thyroid/adrenal imbalances.

Yea they are quite low. I`ve known the connection to serotonin, but that hemoglobin thing is new for me. At the moment I´m suplementing with 2000IU a day should I go higher??(living in germany and while the long wintermonth I don´t get to much sun..

A cool I´ve already thought about that. From what I understood my cortisol is especially too high in the morning and a bit in the evening- could that be a reason I have so strong problems to sleep?? Honstly there are often days on which I could only sleep with medics. (I think low serotonin plays here a role too)
About thr ratio that´s maybe agood point my testosterone is quite low, too 4,7ug/dl (still in the range but low)

I think the quite low serotonin level 72,8 ,(which should be around 185ug/gKreatinin),
in combination with low dopamin and high adrenalin count 16,4 (should be around 10 ug/gKreatinin) causes alot of problems in me, I guess..
Any recomaondations besides sensoril (how much by the way Very Happy ??) and Vit D ??

He told me to use 5HTP for serotonin
Sutherlandia frutescens as an adaptogen in the morning
Mucuna pruriens for dopamin support

Anyone heard of that stuff before??? I´m not sure that expensive stuff will help alot??
What bothers me most is insomnia and depression aswell burn out

tao81 - 2,000 IU of Vitamin D is not enough--in fact it's really a bare minimum. To achieve levels of 60 to 80 ng/mL on the 25-hydroxyvitamin D test, which is an optimal range, you'll probably need to take 10,000 IU for several months. Since you have a long vitamin D winter, you may need to maintain levels of D3 somewhere between 5,000 to 10,000 per day, depending on your individual vitamin D receptor sensitivity, which is governed by a variety of factors.

I live in sunny, southern California and take, 6,000 IU per day.

While 5-HTP and Mucuna P will help (serotonin/dopamine), they are treatments rather than cure. Vitamin D will probably fix this problem.

Would strongly recommend against prescription or even OTC sleep aids if they are drugs--extremely harmful.

Instead, this formula here works better than really anything and is clinically supported.

Can you explain that a bit??
For sure it´s better not tu use such drugs, but absolutely no sleep is even worse. At the moment I´m using 50mg amitriptylin right before bed(use this also as pain medication due to this fucking bactrerial prostatitis).And zopiclon for sleep in addition.

Instead, this formula here works better than really anything and is clinically supported.
