OT : Myopia - astigmatism cured by not wearing glasses?

So, I read a theory that if you have low astigmatism or myopia (to the point where you can function without wearing glasses), you could cure them by not wearing glasses. Apperantly wearing glasses too often makes your eyes depended on them

Anyone heard this theory before?

I researched this a bit while going through an onset of floaters. Apparently you can get normal vision back by practicing reading and focusing 30 mins to an hr a day. Get positive glasses and step towards stronger positivity over time. Focusing strengthens the eye muscle. Ive been wanting to try this. Wearing glasses is like going to the gym to get stronger but wearing a robotic leg that helps you lift. ‍�

I got my glasses 1 year ago. The doctor told me that astigmatism can cause headaches because your brain will try to fix the distortion in the image. It's like trying to fix a hardware problem with a software that constatly uses resources he told me. I usually wear them when I'm playing games(because I got blue light filter glass) and I feel like my visions feels blurrier when I take tem off.

Pinhole glasses may help people who have astigmatism to see better, but only when they're wearing them. Astigmatism keeps the rays of light that your eyes take in from meeting at a common focus.
