Sun rash supplement? Empty Sun rash supplement?

Post  slowbutspeeding Mon Jul 21, 2008 12:49 pm

IH, Im trying to help out a friend who gets a bad sun rash during the summers when out and about during the day. Do you know any good supplements, (a seasonal sunshine regminen perhaps) to counteract or prevent the effects ? [/b]

High SPF sunblock doesnt seem to do the trick. I did find online a product called Heliocare that has Polypodium Leucotomos (Calaguala) Extract (Leaf)...240 mg as its active ingredient but its pricey and also contanis corn starch.

Another source of this ingredient is here.

Other options are vitamin B12 cream, and loading up on Omega-3 fatty acids.

Thanks, this one runs about a dollar a pill too. Good thing my friend doesnt live in so-cal.
Also, when you mean "laoding up" on omega 3 what is the intake amount? 8 capsules of CLO?

slowbutspeeding - An easy way to "load up" on Omega 3 is Krill oil, but if you go the Cod Liver Oil route, 8 is good.

Krill oil works with just a 1,000 mg per day.

thanks. Oh after more research it turns out that Glisodin is pretty good too for those who are sensitive to the sun. In the studies detailing the effects, subjects took 500mg a day!
