getting mercury alamgam filling removed - help

Hi all,

Whats the latest info on this? I see all kinds of info, but alot of it was posted years ago.

First, I'm planning on getting the replacement in gold. Is there any precautions there?

Second, I understand I should stop taking ALA up to and after the procedure. I have been taking selenium, ALA, ALC for the last few years for general health (I have one mercury filling). Now after researching for this removal I'm not sure if this was safe, but its what I did. I want to do this right but its tough to get straight info on all this, so I'm asking now for some help!

Can anyone please give me a run down of what I should do up until the the procedure and following. I am scheduled to get it done in 5 days.

Search with "google" within this forum, not from the default "inside" you should find several posts with this info.

Using gold is a smart move though...because there are no compatibility problems with it.

is gold the best just curious? I might need to get one i would have thought ceramic would be possibly the safest option?
