Hi, i want to create a lotion, combining water soluble herbs and roots with some oils like emu, etc, i wanted to add a good number of ingredients, about 20 herbs and roots that supposed to help with hair loss, I will obtain the water solution mix by infusion, in order to combine the water and oil mix i would need a emulsifier, i will also need a preservative.

Does anyone know the best natural emulsifier and preservative that i can use to my formula?

Thanks.

Polysorbate 80 is a decent emulsifier.
Preservative - grapefruitseed extact

Here is most of the herbs that i will use for my infusion, i will use around 28 herbs, plus some vitamins, etc.
It will use the tradicional Mexican Molcajete to crush all the stuff then i will put them into the glass jar and then put some destiled boiled water into it, in a different jar i will do another cold mix using aloe, honey, some chiles, ginger, vitamins, polysorbate 80, apple vinegar, etc, then when the infusion gets cold enough i will mix everything.
All the herbs, roots and seeds are raw. Some of the herbs and chiles are not very easy to get.

I will upload more pictures next week with the steps and all the ingredients that im using.

The ingredients that i use are:
Sangre de drago, Rosemary, Horsetail, Silica, Cayenne Pepper, Piquin Pepeper
Piquin from south of Mexico Pepper, Cerrano Pepper, Pygeum, Nettle
Saw Palmetto, Chamomille, hiedra, jojoba, tomillo, cacahuanache, Mamey Seed,
calendula, ginsen, ginkobiloba, Hamamelis, Lechugilla, urtica dioica,
sage, zarzaparilla, fenugreek, sea kelp, amla, neem, burdok root, honey,
Polysorbate 80, emu oil, neem oil, jojoba oil, tea tree oil, aloe vera, apple cyder vinegar,
Garlic, flax seed, eucalyptus, mint, berdana, albahaca, ginger, green tea, zinc and vitamin b1

I think the Polysorbate and the honey acted as emulsifier, the mix is very stable

I will mix this with a base shampoo and also i will use it as lotion i will try mixigng
this with folicure leave it conditioner so it can last more.

its very concentrated, its feel good.
