Gerson Therapy Documentary

Here's an interesting documentary on the Gerson Therapy. This isn't a long term diet option for me, but I would do it as a cleanse as I've had some success in the past with similar methods... I diagree with the view of meat inj the Gerson Therapy.

About 50:00 - Mention of Flaxseed oil as the only fat to consume. Obviously most of us will disagree here, but just how negtaive IS flaxseed oil? I never looked much into it as I was convinced it wasn't ideal early on.

About 113:00:00 - Glad they said something negative about soy/legumes! haha, but no mention of grains. I wonder what GErson's take on grains is.

The documentary totally over generalizes on many things. "Animal protein" is illustrated with videos of fried eggs, bacon, and a hot dog on white bread bun (processed wheat/gluten). Definitely missing some important details, but overall I enjoyed the film and will probably do a juice fast in coming weeks.

I know a few people in their eighties expressing similar vigor and energy, eating a pretty regular westernized diet.
Yes, her hair loss is extensive and she seems to have lost most of the hair rather recent.

According to my sources, she is born in march, 1922.

I read the book on it and it does seem to be a good dietary approach to certain types of hard tumerous cancers.

I can see to an extent why they avoid meat and eggs. Its all about getting the stuff in an out of your body as quick as possible whilst absorbing as much nutrition as possible.

One thing im not sure on is the sodium restriction. So when cells are stressed or dying they leach potassium and magnesium and take up sodium and calcium. So he totally avoids sodium (yet there is a relatively high amount of calcium from all the greens).

Does anyone know why cells take up sodium and calcium in this scenario??
