My question is I might be going for a drug test soon for a new job and I have some friends that I hang out with some times that smoke pot. Even though I don't smoke I am around them some times when they smoke and am wondering if second hand smoke can so up positive on a drug test even though I don't smoke?

This is a good one, and perhaps in line with the other famous statements:

"I did not have sex with that woman..."

"I did not smoke, I just inhaled..."

I do think you have to worry if you did not smoke, if you are so worried why not have it prechecked quickly, I think it costs only a little bit right? better sure than risk losing a job offer in this market...

As long as you yourself didn't smoke, you will be fine.

I was really freaked out about the same thing a while back when going for a drug test and everything was fine. Even if you are in a car that is being baked up, you should be fine.

If you didn't inhale directly, and only took in second hand smoke, you have nothing to worry about. Virtually all the THC is absorbed into the first hand inhalers lungs...

I was in this exact same dilemma, but with only 2 weeks till the drug test. I took a table spoon of activated charcoal everyday, along with zeolite, goldenseal, heap of cayenne pepper and excercised alot harder to circulate the stuff out of my system(I was kinda panicky about the whole thing).
Lucky though I passed the test no worries. I don't know if there are better ways to help get rid of the weed out of your system faster, but what I did worked for me. Also if you smoke it everyday it takes a fuck long time to get out of your system like 3-4 months, but if its just something done once in a while or blue moon then it will process out of your system much quicker.
