Sleep Paralysis - How to fix it? Empty Sleep Paralysis - How to fix it?

Post  Guest Fri Jul 01, 2011 12:46 pm

I've had sleep paralysis since I was 16 maybe, it's just horrible, you are asleep, you are conscious, you can't move or very very slowly, you have the feeling that your brain is going to explode, when it happens to me say once a week, I'm very very afraid everytime, sometimes I have the impression that it lasts 3 minutes or more. CS, people of IH, do you know if something can be done for this problem, supps or maybe lifestyle changes? thanks in advance

FredtheBelgian- Did you ever have excessive day time sleepiness, not feel like you are totally awake until around late morning or afternoon? Did ever have episodes of just falling asleep during the middle of a conversation or during a lecture and woke up maybe 10-25min later? If you did, did they happen regularly? Does high anxiety or stress make you sleepy?

Yes! I mean, just for the, I mean sleeping during the day, if I sleep too much during daytime and I go to bed not so tired, I'll have this thing, maybe I should correct my sleeping pattern? I went out everynight almost and am sleeping during the day. I've never had sleep paralysis so often Sad

Fix it?! Bro, that's a great thing! That's Astral Projection in its early stages. Research "Robert Bruce" and read up on him a bit. You should be able to get his book "Astral Dynamics" for free.

FredtheBelgian - A relative of mine had those symptoms that I mentioned. It turned out he had the auto-immune disease narcolepsy. Just glad you don't exhibit any of those symptoms, since there really isn't a cure for it, just stimulants to keep you awake.

I don't know to much about astral projection, but if you are trying for an out of body experience, I would give lucid dreaming a try. I've practiced lucid dreaming, I'm not very successful at it, I've only had maybe 3 experiences but this was by concentrated effort. One time I was above my bed, observing everything through a fisheye lens. The other two, I was at a children's hospital for some reason, don't ask me why because I don't know.

I wouldn't mind it either, sleep paralysis is a good entry point for a lucid dream. I trained myself to wake up in S.P. for this but I could break the paralysis anytime.....
