CS: periodically swollen lymph nodes?
For years now my axillary lymph nodes (usually anterior axillary) have been swelling up periodically, maybe every 3-4 months. They're mildly painful to the touch. I never have any other problems, like infections or cuts/bruises, etc. Any idea what it could be?

On a similar (completely unrelated) note, sometimes my inguinal lymph nodes swell up, but I'm pretty sure this is related to a recurrent pilonidal cyst. Any ideas for that?

sounds like allergies. The worst would be mold, which triggers the deepest autoimmune response.

crincrin - Would recommend you apply some Dead Sea Bath Salt. If you have a Trader Joes' near you, that stuff will work.
Apply it to the affected area while in the shower everyday and it should shrink within a week.

can't delete post. actually, chronic swelling of the lymph nodes in the neck would be more indicative of reaction to an airborne allergen.

Re: CS: periodically swollen lymph nodes?
Thanks CS, but the swelling/pain itself isn't that bad. What I'm actually trying to figure out is what could be causing this. Ie, whatever's causing this is probably keeping me in a perpetual state of inflammation.
Gibson, thanks I'll look into mold, but I've never noticed swollen nodes in the neck/head.
