Re: Baldness Breakthrough
Praise be to god the day soon arrives when I can slap some cream on top, crack open a beer and watch my hair grow back. No hormone debilitating medication and a little freedom with my diet would be a dream come true.

Re: Baldness Breakthrough
Now we know that all the stem cells in the scalp are still present in baldness, what does this mean for the close future? How does this translate into a working, effective treatment/cure?

I think stem cell research is wonderful, but I still think that for people like me, it's much better to just fix up your health. It does depend on the individual though, and I'll be keeping an eye on this too!
Re: Baldness Breakthrough
infection may lead to destruction of progenitor cells.

Re: Baldness Breakthrough
Hi,
I think almost everyone on this site is right. What I mean is that people have a theory of what "causes" Hair loss for example: Liver probs, gluten, fungus, DHT, mineral deficient.
It seems to me they are all a cause to some extent. Poor immune/hormonal situation allowing an infection to flare up on the scalp destroy "stuff" maybe most importantly these progenitor things. Bam, no hair!
Lots still to be figured out, but people here (and apparently other places) are on the right track. Just making my head less itchy was a triumph for me:)

Re: Baldness Breakthrough
For a little while I was experimenting with Colostrum last year (2010) on the principle of its stem cell factors. This "news" about balding is not new, it was reported a while ago, but just in another way.
