Relationship between Heavy Metals and MPB? Empty Relationship between Heavy Metals and MPB?

Post  mphatesmpb Fri Dec 31, 2010 5:16 pm

Seeing that there are many threads about heavy metal detoxification as a means of combating hair loss, I think that this question might already have been answered:
What exactly is the connection between heavy metal toxicity and MPB? What is the pathway through which mercury accumulation in kidneys, liver, and CNS affects the hair follicles in an adverse way?

I remember reading at some point that it just creates tons of oxidative stress within the body, but is this the only way that hair loss is caused? Does it cause inflammation?

I hope someone can give me a few good articles that would explain the physiological effects of heavy metals on hair follicles.

Thanks,
MP
