IMO, lugol's isn't the greatest for candida but combining lugol's with boron/borax works great according to one experienced poster at curezone.

Regarding candida/heavy metal detox, I'd recommend Waiora NCD. While it may look expensive at first glance, based on how well it works, the cost to benefit ratio ir really good.

Also, regarding candida, you might want to take a good look at your diet and see if that helps.

Spit testing is crap IMO - this is perhaps the 10th time I am stating that....LOL

Use a good probiotic or better Kefir - this will help the most, then you can support with other stuff. I had tried iodine, Heavy Metal Detox from Jarrows, Candida Clear from NOW - nothing cleared my white tongue coating other than Kefir over 3 months.

jdp710-

How long do you have to use Waiora NCD for? Is it just a few drops a day for a few days? do you have to alter anything else (diet/supplements) while using it? Sorry for all the questions, their website has a lot of info on the product, but nothing on how to use it.

Thanks

big mike,

Candida is a life-long battle as all you can do is keep it in check.

Heavy metal detox you'll want to be on a maintenance dose for quite some time.

If you have heavy metal toxicity, fighting candida might be extremely hard ... a losing battle.

Initially, I believe Wairora NCD is one of the best treatments for both IME. After taking the Wairora NCD for a couple months you might be able to just take stabalized alpha lipoic acid or another supplement to help chelate heavy metals for your maintenance dose. Same with candida for mainenance, diet, kefir, grapeseed extract, etc. may also keep candida in check for mainenance. It really depends on your situation.

Another very good way of chelating heavy metals is with the Andy Cutler protocol with seleniumethionine. The selenium would be there to help with mercury toxicity. Beware of using this if you already have mercury fillings.

Humifulvate is also extremely good and very cheap and I'd also recommend to make sure you take enough seleniumethionine for mercury IME. The cheapest way of fighting heavy metal and candida would be humifulvate and kefir but Wairora NCD I really like.

hope this helps

Forgot to mention that typical dose is 10 drops x 3 thise = 1 bottle about every 2 weeks.

No need to alter diet, supplements when taking Waiora NCD. The biggest thing you'll want to keep in mind is to take every 8 hours so that dose is evenly spaced throughout the day.

Forgot to mention that Wairora NCD chelates lithium ... supposedly less than mercury, etc.. So if you're taking lithium or there is lithium in prescription drugs you'll want to keep this in mind.

So the Wairora NCD will tackle the heavy metals AND candida at the same time? I noticed the web page discussed the heavy metal chelation but nothing in regard to candida.

Did you get any major detox efects during the period you used this?

Just a comment on Candida....

Candida CAN be CURED, meaning that you can regain the optimal balance inside you. However, the curing process is not something completed overnight and can be hard for some people.

The key is to come STRONG (effective doses of effective supplements) at it, with FULL DETERMINATION (no cheating with the wrong foods, being fully consistent, etc.)

Most people fight for years against it because they make the mistake (like I did) of not following a strong protocol and whenever they see benefits they jeopardize their achievements by following the same bad practices that put them in that toxic state.

The key is to restore digestion (betaine hcl, enzymes, etc), use strong NATURAL antifungals (Oregano oil, garlic, gse, olive leaf, etc) and use effective probiotics that are able to colonize the human gut. Keep with that for a few months. As you can see, the steps are very easy to understand and follow. In practice, things can be more difficult... but it all depends on you, if you really want the problem to end for good, for your health.

I believe that curing dysbiosis will fix many problems a lot of us are suffering now.

My question is how do you know you have Heavy Metal? and is there a natural food out there that can detox the metal out of your body? I read somewhere that Cilantro might have heavy metal detox properties. Candida seems hard to fight, but is the spit test accurate?

Hairbeback - The whole subject of heavy metals is a complex issue, however I will make a topic on it in my blog fairly soon. Some of the subjects we get into sometimes are too "heavy" to brush over, this is definitely one of them.

The short answer to your first question is Toxic Urine Metals test (24-hour collection). There is no one correct way to detox metals for everybody, this is where more info is needed. In general, I think Humifulvate is safe enough to use for general purposes. Also, Modified Citrus Pectin/Sodium Alginate.

big mike - The correct form of metal detox can regrow hair. If the type of detox used in inappropriate, yes there could be side-effects. The general recommendations mentioned above should be devoid of sides.

RobHealthMan - I believe in the spit test, lund doesn't. However, there is the lund test and it should be pretty reliable. If you tongue has no thrush, you're not doing too bad.

Candida can be controlled by regular use of probiotics, preferably a quality one that works with your body.

Are these the same/similar products? You stated that Humifulvate is your recommendation for heavy metal detox, correct? I'd like to order something soon, I just want to be sure what the best quality product is....
