Iodine, Bentonite Clay, etc

Guys, I just picked up some IODIDE, not iodine, and I was thinking about picking up some Bentonite Clay also. Now, where do I begin as far as the iodide goes? How many drops in a cup of water and how frequently? And for how long...1 week, 2 weeks etc.
Should I pick up some Jarrows Heavy Metal Detox instead of the Bentonite Clay or is either one okay? Also, when using the iodide or the clay, or a heavy metal detox, is there any supplements from IH's top 6 that I should stop using? Thanks to all those who reply.
