Bit nervous about taking Sensoril!
Hmm.. I'm considering maybe taking a different thing to lower my stress hormones, and a different thing AGAIN for my thyroid.
Thing is.. I think.. i THINK I'm getting significant regrowth.. it's so difficult to tell at this stage but it does look like the old hairline is resuming.. (I caught MPB so early that it had only just receded a tad anyway).
Basically I'm just cautious that if I'm taking Sensoril AND resveratrol (along with curcumin and abstaining from sexual activity more than once a week, and better diet), might my T levels end up too high? I do want to make them healthy, but I don't want to overdo it as I could end up spoiling my body's natural balance.
Sensoril seems good for the thyroid though, which is another reason I was tempted.
Might it be better to take Curcumin, Resveratrol, something for my thyroid (Iodine?) and something for my stress hormones (Relora?). That way Res will be lifting my T a little anyway, as will abstaining and better diet, and my lower insulin and cortisol and stuff will probably work wonders!
Anyway yes, sorry to go on and on, it's just, man.. I am SO determined, why do you think I am on here far too often lol ^_^
Well, also I think this forum is wicked
Peace!

Hmm, I've got Omega 3, vitamin C and magnesium here... maybe I'll just combine them for stress for now, and take some iodine as well?
And man my friend agrees my hairline appears to be creeping forward! Back of the net!!

Re: Bit nervous about taking Sensoril!
Hoppipolla - Sensoril has not been any problem for me. Right now my stress levels are not high, so I'm not taking it, but when in need it's great stuff.
Honestly, wouldn't worry about anything about elevating testosterone levels. The higher the T levels the better the glucose metabolism, the better everything works.
When blood sugar metabolism is not good, SHBG can be low (if you're young), or possibly too high if you're old (this is why everyone is so confused about this marker).
What you really wouldn't want is a low testosterone to cortisol ratio. That is indicative of insulin resistance. If one is under high stress, it can cause an elevation of cortisol, which will increase insulin levels and lower testosterone.

Re: Bit nervous about taking Sensoril!
Ah ok. You're probably right.. thing is though I bet that if I just cut my cortisol down (which would have probably been way too high before!) and my insulin down (which, again, would have been way too high!) and give my T levels room to breathe by not overly engaging in anything sexual too often, I reckon I'll knock this one on the head completely! I've just done SO much so wrong, and although that was a mistake, it's now given me a million things to correct! hehe
I mean, I can always raise T levels more later if I feel like it, but right now I just want to resume "normal service" and see if that fixes my hair loss and my skin.. because I think it probably will!
I also think my thyroid will probably quite happily correct itself if I balance my stress and diet, but I might give it just a very soft nudge with something like NOW Thyroid Energy or Swanson's Thyroid Essentials. I know they are mild but.. I mean, that may be all it needs, I don't think it needs anything major other than relief from cortisol/stress hormones and insulin
Don't you think?

Also I'm sorry to be a little stubborn hehe! I know you know more about this than me and I'm very grateful for everything so far (I will be helping noobs using the knowledge I have gained for a long time!), I guess I'm just trying to be very careful and gentle with my body right now to let it fix itself without pushing too hard
Re: Bit nervous about taking Sensoril!
Ok, I've decided to take advice and try Sensoril! Sorry to be so hesitant, heh - on another forum they were saying its good too, plus ALL good herbs for stress seem to lift either insulin or testosterone, as far as I can work out o.O
I may start out on a nice low dose though, and gradually increase it as I get more confident! hehe
Regarding my thyroid hormone balance/resistance though - do you think if I lower cortisol and insulin etc, it will correct itself? I mean, the sensoril apparently helps to lift the thyroid, but I just felt that high doses of iodine might be a little much for something that may self-correct, which is why I was looking at more general, probably milder options such as NOW Thyroid Energy. What is your opinion CS (and anyone else reading this thread )?

Re: Bit nervous about taking Sensoril!
Hoppipolla - Probably no need to rush into thyroid activators per se. And starting modestly on iodine is a good idea. You're probably on a good course.

Re: Bit nervous about taking Sensoril!
Okie dokie
I'll start on Sensoril, and go on a fairly mild dose of iodine (perhaps 8-12mg a day) and selenium (100-200mg a day). Fingers crossed then my body will have the breathing space and encouragement to self-correct ^_^
