Elbow fungus?
Hey guys,
A girl friend of mine's elbow looks all scabbed, red, and puffed up. She's starting to get it a bit on her other elbow as well now. I gave her my super saturated potassium iodide and told her to apply it in the morning and night, and follow it with Willard Water's Aqua Gel. I figured if it's a fungus of bacteria, the SSKI would wipe the floor with it, and the Gel is great for numbing the nerves that cause pain/itching and also greatly accelerates the healing process.
Any ideas what it is she could have? I had something similar when I used to play World of Warcraft tons, with my elbows constantly on the chair. Her symptoms are largely itchiness and a bit of mild discomfort.

I get it it too when studying for long periods, with elbows in the table.

Re: Elbow fungus?
I'm just getting over my first fungal skin infection. It took me a while to figure out what the hell was going on: I thought I just had a patch of dry skin. I tapped an old tube of keto 2% cream, and it seems to be working. If it doesn't clear up a lot by Monday, I'm going to the doc.

Hmm ya keep us posted on that man!
Wonder if IH has anything to say on it, though it may be a bit too vague to ask for an answer for...

nid--
my doc just gave me new script for a different anti-fungal cream, and said it should clear up before two weeks, if not to come back.
I'm pretty sure mine is, in part, related to drinking because I have had a candida flair-up again, plus i noted that on nights that i didn't drink it would start to go away; when i drank it would flair up. needless to say, I am off the booze.

nidhogge,
Not to get personal but you might want to see if she has had a yeast infection before. It could be fungus with the underlying factor being candida.
I read a couple days ago that ketoconazole (the shampoo) treats candida. Makes you wonder sometimes.

Re: Elbow fungus?
I use a keto 2 percent shampoo daily. Not Nizoral, this one is totally mild.

Hm, next time that I see her, I'm going to have to bring what you guys discussed up. She definitely does like drinking, ha.
Thanks fellas!
