Estrogen and Insulin
Hey guys.
"If you want to control excess DHT production, don't block the damned hormone, find the ROOT CAUSE of what is causing the over-production of that hormone! (Hint: estrogens & insulin)" Nidhogge, Regrowth.com
This is a quote from Nidhogge and I know he is okay with me using it I find it very interesting, still:
Could people help me understand the role of estrogen in hair loss, and what is the correlation between estrogen and insulin and its effect on hair? Why is there topicals that use estrogen to combat hair loss, and why is it said that alcoholics doesn't suffer hair loss because of their high estrogen??? Help a confused guy out
Thanks

Re: Estrogen and Insulin
Well we know estrogen exposure has increased significantly over the past several decades, and many of them
are playing all sorts of havoc on our hormones/endocrine systems, and also provoking accelerated aging.
Check out a documentary called 'The Disappearing male'.
Id say it could likely be a factor that causes the body to respond with creating more dht since it cant be aromatised like testosterone.
Poor Insulin/ blood sugar levelsalso contributes to hormonal imbalances, and poor overall health as seen in diabetics, both relevant at the least...
